• I will definitely ask your life’s questions and tell you about mine, even if you didn’t ask

One question I get asked more than anything else: *what should we wear?* 👇🏼

Here’s my go-to guide:
🤎 Coordinate, don’t match — think tones, not identical outfits
🤎 Stick to earthy, neutral tones (olive, brown, cream, tan, rust)
🤎 Avoid logos and busy prints
🤎 Layer up when you can — textures photograph beautifully (perfect time of year now for this 😍)
🤎 Wear something you feel GOOD in — confidence shows! 😮‍💨

Yep… It happened 😭
So here I am, being raw and open about learning from my biggest mistake yet in photography so you don’t have to.

STORY TIME:
Took these photos in Mackay a few days before going to America. My plan was to finish prior galleries on the way over there and then use our flights home to edit and finish this one.
WELL… On our way home we ran into a few issues with delays and missing connecting flights, etc. and we ended up having to wait 12 hours at SFO airport (do not recommend/10). So we sat down and figured I’d use the time to my advantage to download the session and get started - to then realise in the midst of it all (I remember seeing it that morning) my SD card holder had fallen out of my bag 😭
Not only did I lose this session, I also lost all of my daughter’s 1st Christmas photos (also not downloaded bc I don’t even know why), and I’m honestly not sure which is worse 😭

The tears and anxiety I have felt over this are immeasurable but I am SO thankful that this family are friends of ours, and their response - ‘sh*t happens’ 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

So catch me in a couple of weeks time back up there to re-shoot - and you bet I now download/backup my images the MOMENT I walk through my door 🔥🔥🔥

How humbling is a ‘learn the hard way’ moment?! 🫠🫠
