Some people just belong to the ocean.

Watching Chrissy drift effortlessly upward, it’s hard not to believe she must have been a mermaid in a past life. There’s a natural grace, a calm connection you can’t fake — like she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.

I call it liquid magic… that quiet, healing energy the ocean has given her over the years. And in this moment, rising toward the light, you can feel every bit of it.

With just seven of their closest family and friends, the ocean as their backdrop, and love in every moment — this Zilzie elopement was something special. 🌊

A huge shoutout to the amazing celebrant Dee from Elope on the Capricorn Coast, who made the ceremony so personal and heartfelt.

Simple, relaxed, and completely them — proof you don’t need a big crowd for a big moment.

In a quiet corner of the world, far from the noise and rush of everyday life, love unfolded in its purest form.

Barefoot in the sand, with the ocean gently kissing their toes, J & P stood surrounded by only a handful of their closest people. As the sun dipped low, casting just enough golden light to catch the sparkle in their eyes, they promised forever simple, intimate, and deeply meaningful.

Moments like these are what elopements are all about… raw, real, and unforgettable.

Today I got to shoot and edit for WIN News at Rocky Nats 🎥

The past few weeks I’ve been training to step in and relieve their current camera operator/editor who’s off on paternity leave and it’s been such a great experience.

Photography will always be my number one love, but it’s been really good pushing myself, learning something new, and getting out of my comfort zone shooting vision.

I’d like to say a big thank you to all the photographers who came along to the Salt & Light workshop

And of course, to the incredible Ashleigh Rafferty, who absolutely nailed it as our model — working so hard right into the night!

We started shooting through golden hour, moved into blue hour, and finished up in dark conditions — definitely not the easiest and not for the faint-hearted. But with a bit of guidance, determination, and a real passion for creating great images, everyone stepped up and delivered.

Out shooting with Ella on Yeppoon Beach this evening when we came across the cutest little surprise… Itsy the miniature pony being walked along the beach by her family.

We couldn’t resist asking if we could include her in a few photos with Ella, and thankfully they said yes ❤️
