Paris Photo dès demain, première fois que je visite, en quête d’un éditeur pour un livre sur le printemps de la paix à Sarajevo (1996).

Objectif: publier un livre qui couvre l’ensemble de mon séjour en Bosnie Herzégovine (Bihać - Sarajevo) en mars 2026 avec une exposition à Sarajevo. Souhaitez-moi bonne chance!

I AM LOOKING FOR THIS MAN.

As we are entering the last week of the FIRST SPRING Sarajevo 1996 project at Historijski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine, I have collected many stories inspired by this photograph. And this man in the jeans coat carrying a piece of paper has become somewhat of a hero.

Please help me identify him (and the woman on the left and the sheep herder on the right, if you recognize any of them).

Last week I started my artistic residency titled First Spring - Sarajevo 1996 at the Historijski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine showcasing 215 photographs I took in Sarajevo in April and May 1996. It’s an oral history project based on the participation of residents of Sarajevo, so I would like to invite you, your family and colleagues to participate. The project is open to anyone who is old enough to remember that spring of peace.

We receive people at the museum Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 17:30, so just let me know when would be good for you and I’ll reserve the studio. Saturdays are open house. The project runs until October 31st.

Just a quick message to let you all know I arrived in Sarajevo this week and I'm now working every day at the Historijski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine to prepare my photography and oral history project for my university master’s degree.

The project features hundreds of never-seen-before post-war images I made in Sarajevo in April and May 1996 (like this one below).

We will be inviting people to visit the Museum during the month of October and record their stories inspired by these images. This is also a portrait project, as I’ll be making a portrait session with each participant.

We should be starting our social media campaign next weekend, so I’ll be circulating more details soon. I've made this post public so it can be shared (please keep text attached for information).

First week in Sarajevo since April 2023. As I usually do, I start the first days just wandering around taking random shots. It's a warmin g up exercise for my eyes; trying to understand where things are. This is my 8th visit to Sarajevo (1996, 1997, 2006, 2009, 2019, 2022, 2023) and I'm still in love with the city.

During this trip, my focus will be people, portraits and stories. More details coming next week.
