Life line of Chittagong city The Karnaphuli River is going to be dead. River has turned frothy and black due to Industrial waste and Human waste. There are at least four hundred industries beside the river. Most of them are polluting the river every day. Only Karnaphuli paper mill is polluting the river by discharging thousands of tones of untreated toxic effluent into it every day. Chittagong is also discharging human and industrial waste through thirty/forty channels in every moment.
