আল্লাহ্‌ তাআলা বলেন,
আর আমলনামা সামনে রাখা হবে। তাতে যা আছে; তার কারণে আপনি অপরাধীদেরকে ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত দেখবেন। তারা বলবেঃ হায় আফসোস, এ কেমন আমলনামা। এ যে ছোট বড় কোন কিছুই বাদ দেয়নি-সবই এতে রয়েছে। তারা তাদের কৃতকর্মকে সামনে উপস্থিত পাবে। আপনার পালনকর্তা কারও প্রতি জুলুম করবেন না। সুরা কাহফ : ৪৯

যখন কোথাও ভূমিকম্প সংগঠিত হয় অথবা সূর্যগ্রহণ হয়, ঝড়ো বাতাস বা বন্যা হয়, তখন মানুষদের উচিত মহান আল্লাহর নিকট অতি দ্রুত তওবা করা, তাঁর নিকট নিরাপত্তার জন্য দোয়া করা এবং মহান আল্লাহকে অধিকহারে স্মরণ করা এবং ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করা যেভাবে রাসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) সূর্য গ্রহণ দেখলে বলতেন: “যদি তুমি এরকম কিছু দেখে থাক, তখন দ্রুততার সাথে মহান আল্লাহকে স্মরণ কর, তাঁর নিকট ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর।” (আল-বুখারী ২/৩০ এবং মুসলিম ২/৬২৮)
