Scientific Name: Commelina benghalensis

C. benghalensis is native to tropical Asia and Africa. জোড় বাংলা মন্দির, পাবনা সদর উপজেলার দক্ষিণ রাঘবপুরের জোড়বাংলা পাড়ায় অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম একটি প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন।

মন্দিরের সম্মুখভাগের খিলানগুলির উপরের টেরাকোটা ফলকগুলি রাম ও রাবণের সৈন্যবাহিনীর মধ্যকার যুদ্ধকে প্রদর্শিত করত, যা এখন ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বা নষ্ট হয়ে গিয়েছে। তৎকালীন সময়ে সম্মুখভাগের অলঙ্করণগুলি জনপ্রিয় ধর্মীয় গ্রন্থ রামায়ণ ও মহাভারতের চাক্ষুষ চিত্র হিসাবে কাজ করেছিল। বর্তমানে মন্দিরটি বাংলাদেশ প্রত্নতত্ত্ব অধিদপ্তর দ্বারা বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম একটি প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন হিসাবে সংরক্ষিত রয়েছে। ~ উইকিপিডিয়া

পাবনার ঐতিহ্যবাহী মিষ্টান্নের মধ্যে কাটারিভোগ একটি বহুল জনপ্রিয় মিষ্টি। খাঁটি ছানা দিয়ে বানানো নরম গোলাকার চমচমটি মুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয় গরুর দুধের তৈরী করা ঘন ক্ষীর দিয়ে। অতঃপর মাঝ বরাবর কেটে দু’ভাগে ভাগ করে পরিবেশন করা হয়।

J. sambac is a species of jasmine native to Bhutan and India. It is cultivated in many places, especially West Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is naturalised in many scattered locales.
