Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to his wife Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
She reported:
“I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realise Lailatul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?
He (PBUH) replied, ‘You should supplicate:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Transliteration: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni
Translation: O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.’”
