Sundarbans is a vast forest located along the Bay of Bengal and is one of the natural wonders of the world. Located in the delta area of the Padma , Meghna and Brahmaputra river basins , this beautiful forest is spread over Khulna , Satkhira , Bagerhat , Patuakhali and Barguna districts of Bangladesh and two districts of North Twenty-four Parganas and South Twenty- four Parganas of the Indian state of West Bengal . Coastal saline environments are the largest As a mangrove forest, Sundarbans is the largest intact forest in the world. Spread over 10,000 square kilometres, 6,017 square kilometers (62%) of the Sundarbans lie in Bangladesh and the rest (38%) in India.
