Arts & Photography Society(APS) is a community of Dhaka Commerce college. The based photography clubs are on the rise in the competitive photography platform.

Bangladesh has a lot of talented young photographers that are the pioneers of launching these clubs at the college levels that are purposed to assist the young photographers who need a little guidance that they can only get from a gathering of similar minded creative people.Arts & Photography Society (APS) was founded for the photography & Arts enthusiasts of this college who found it useful to have an official insignia that would represent them both inside and out of the college. As soon as it was founded in 2006, a lot of students who previously did photography on their own joined and enriched the number of creative minds of the club.We have helped our members by sharing ideas and techniques that would help any learning photographer with improving the quality of their results.There have been several exhibitions within the short lifespan of APS that has kindled the passion for photography among the current members and encouraged others into taking photography as a serious hobby.We continue to assist our members into their creative foray by joining exhibitions that would augment competitiveness which we believe is a key ingredient of a growing club.We are also scheduled to organize after-college training sessions to enrich the knowledge of our young minds.Several of our workshops would be conducted by professionals.Photo-walks are going to be arranged with our members who would learn as well as share their knowledge. Our board members include honourable Mis. SHAMA AHMAD is our moderator. Mr.Hasan Ali(Dept. of finance) as the CO-Moderator. SAJIN AHMED KAWSHIK as the Senior Adviser(PHOTOGRAPHY). SAJJAD SAJIB as the Senior Adviser(arts). ZIHAN RASHED as the president. AKIB MAHATAB as the General Secretary. Basically the aim of this club is to encourage the young minds to use photography and Arts as a medium of expressing creativity and thus emerge as great story tellers.

𝟏. The contest is open for all APS members.
𝟐. Each contestant may submit 01 to 03 photograph.
𝟑. The photograph must be the contestant’s own original work.
𝟒. The photograph should be appropriate and respectful of the club’s values.
𝟓. Participants must submit their photographs through the official group of the Arts & Photography Society within the submission period.
𝟔. Every submission must include a caption written by the participant.
𝟕. The caption must include the official hashtag:
𝟖. Participant must use hashtag with the device name ( 𝐢𝐟 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞 #𝐌𝐎𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐄, 𝐢𝐟 𝐃𝐒𝐋𝐑 𝐮𝐬𝐞 #𝐃𝐒𝐋𝐑)

It is hereby informed to all members of the Arts and Photography Society that an outing is going to be held for all members of APS on 22/08/2026 (Saturday). All members are requested to attend the said outing.

Time: 11:30 AM.
Venue: Bangladesh Military Museum

Things to bring:-

1. No one will be allowed to participate in the outing without a college ID card.

2. Those who have a camera should bring their camera. (Those who do not have a camera should bring their mobile).

3. Water bottle, hat.

4. Those who are in art should definitely bring the necessary materials including art paper, notebook, colors and pencils.

5. Of course, everyone should wear decent clothes.

6. Girls can bring their guardians. In that case, you must bring a parent or sister.

7. Entry fee 200/- is applicable.

8. We will all be outside the museum gate at 11:30, and we will all enter the museum together by 11:45 under the guidance of seniors. No one will be allowed to enter without seniors first.

Special note: If any student behaves indecently on the day of the outing, his/her club membership will be cancelled and disciplinary action will be taken by the college like cancellation of admission.

শিল্প, স্থাপত্য ও সৃজনশীলতার এক অনন্য অভিজ্ঞতা।

শান্ত-মারিয়াম ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ ক্রিয়েটিভ টেকনোলজি এর ইন্টেরিয়র আর্কিটেকচার বিভাগের আয়োজিত প্রদর্শনীতে ঢাকা কমার্স কলেজ আর্টস অ্যান্ড ফটোগ্রাফি সোসাইটি ক্লাব-এর পক্ষ থেকে অংশগ্রহণ করতে পেরে আমরা সত্যিই আনন্দিত।

নান্দনিক স্থাপত্যচিন্তা, সৃজনশীল ডিজাইন এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের অসাধারণ কাজ আমাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে। এই ভিজিট ছিল শেখা, দেখা এবং নতুন ভাবনার সঙ্গে পরিচিত হওয়ার এক অসাধারণ সুযোগ।

এমন সুন্দর আয়োজনের জন্য শান্ত-মারিয়াম ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ ক্রিয়েটিভ টেকনোলজি এর ইন্টেরিয়র আর্কিটেকচার বিভাগকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ। ভবিষ্যতেও শিল্প ও সৃজনশীলতার এই বন্ধন আরও দৃঢ় হোক। 🤝

ইতিহাসের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা, ভবিষ্যতের প্রতি অঙ্গীকার।

৩১ জুলাই ২০২৬ তারিখে ঢাকা কমার্স কলেজে এক গৌরবময় আয়োজনের মধ্য দিয়ে উদ্বোধন করা হয় ‘৭১ থেকে ২৪ রক্তাক্ত সংগ্রামের ইতিহাস’ শীর্ষক স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ এবং ‘জাগ্রত জুলাই’ শীর্ষক প্রদর্শনী-২০২৬। ১৯৭১ সালের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধ থেকে ২০২৪ সালের ছাত্র-জনতার গণঅভ্যুত্থান পর্যন্ত দেশের স্বাধীনতা, গণতন্ত্র ও ন্যায়ের সংগ্রামে আত্মদানকারী সকল বীর শহীদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন এবং নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে সেই গৌরবময় ইতিহাস ও চেতনা তুলে ধরার লক্ষ্যে এই আয়োজন করা হয়।

জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোহাম্মদ কামরুল আহসান স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ ও প্রদর্শনীর উদ্বোধন করেন। অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কলেজ গভর্নিং বডির সদস্যবৃন্দ, ভারপ্রাপ্ত অধ্যক্ষ, শিক্ষকবৃন্দ এবং শিক্ষার্থীরা। প্রদর্শনীতে জুলাই আন্দোলনের বিভিন্ন ঘটনা, ছাত্র-জনতার বীরত্বগাথা এবং জুলাই চেতনাকে রং ও বর্ণের নান্দনিক উপস্থাপনায় ফুটিয়ে তোলা হয়।

একই দিনে ঢাকা কমার্স কলেজে বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচিরও আয়োজন করা হয়। কলেজ গভর্নিং বডির সভাপতি জনাব বিজন কান্তি সরকারের উদ্বোধনে আয়োজিত এ কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য, কলেজের গভর্নিং বডির সদস্যবৃন্দ, ভারপ্রাপ্ত অধ্যক্ষ, শিক্ষকবৃন্দ ও বিএনসিসির সদস্যরা। সবুজ, সুন্দর ও পরিবেশবান্ধব ক্যাম্পাস গড়ে তোলার প্রত্যয়ে এই কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়িত হয়।

এই দুটি আয়োজনের সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে ছিলেন উপাধ্যক্ষ (প্রশাসন) প্রফেসর আবু নাঈম মো. মোজাম্মেল হোসেন। সার্বিক সহযোগিতায় ছিল ঢাকা কমার্স কলেজ আর্টস অ্যান্ড ফটোগ্রাফি ক্লাব এবং ক্লাবের মডারেটর, ফিন্যান্স অ্যান্ড ব্যাংকিং বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক জনাব মো. হাসান আলী।

শহীদদের আত্মত্যাগের স্মৃতি হৃদয়ে ধারণ করে, ইতিহাসের চেতনায় উজ্জীবিত হয়ে এবং সবুজ বাংলাদেশের অঙ্গীকারে এগিয়ে চলুক ঢাকা কমার্স কলেজ।
