This year 2026, I started a new brand.
大丈夫焼 - Daijōbu Pottery.
It's all about my love for Japan, Japanese crafts & Art.
The Heian era potteries are amongst the ones that triggered my attraction to ceramics. Visiting Tokoname city pushed me to give it a try.
And now, I started creating my own pieces.
Many are inspired from Japanese ceramics, especially since I use the kurinuki technique to create them.
Each one will be handmade, unique and original.
If you decide to own a Daijōbu Pottery, you will own more than an object...
Daijōbu (大丈夫) means "it's ok".
This name brings a strong emotional & symbolic charge.
Daijōbu pottery evokes a sense of okayness or well-being. This is also a reminder that you can find beauty in what you would call imperfection.
I had a clear image of the logo in my mind, this is why I created it myself.
Calligraphy and Enso were drawn with my calligraphy brushes on paper to make sure I kept the brush strokes visible.
