Television chef Jeroen Meus has won the Dutch Johannes van Dam prize, the Allard Pierson museum has announced this. The Johannes van Damprijs is a Dutch career award for a person with exceptional merits for the dissemination of gastronomic knowledge. Not only is he a good friend but also a very nice warm and loyal person. We are glad to be part of the Jeroen team. Wishing Jeroen /Jerre all the succes with this award.

Polaroid pictures, 30 years ago ( yes, we started Verne in 1991 ) we started with our polaroid pictures. Despite the digital age we still love taking polaroid portraits. Hope you like them.

For when the night falls. Shot taken in Hong Kong club in Tijuana Mexico for our book Cars & Girls, a reflection on body and soul, flesh and steal. Cops at the US border asked why we would wanna visit Tijuana. And that after one visit we would never go back. I liked Tijuana. Next day we were back and took a portrait of this model / dancer / “companion for an hour or more “. Tijuana was raw but real. And beautiful in it’s honesty and struggle. Just what we need now.
