Last Monday, in the context of the renovation works for grid operator Elia on the (150kV) between Langerbrugge and Rodenhuize, our colleagues used an innovative way of pulling new conductors. 💡

The classic working method for pulling new conductors usually takes place on foot. Pull cords are brought from mast to mast and hoisted up. This is usually not a problem due to fields and meadows, but for bridging large obstacles, one sometimes uses loader cranes, aerial work platforms and possibly even a helicopter. 🚁🏗

Here the scenario is a bit different: the two mast heads are located on either side of the Ghent-Terneuzen canal (200m wide). And since it was not possible to sail back and forth from one bank to another, it was decided to resort to a new method. 💧

For this unique work, a drone was called in, which pulled the nylon cords across the channel for each of the 8 conductors. A new way of working that is ultimately more agile and sustainable, but also safer and cheaper than the alternative: via helicopter. Everything went according to plan and under the approving supervision of the shipping police, who were present to manage the traffic on the canal during the flight moments.

Mit Hilfe von Matterport haben wir einen digitalen Zwilling einer Modeboutique erstellt. Somit können die Kunden das Geschäft besuchen ohne tatsächlich physisch anwesend zu sein.

Mit Hilfe von Luftbildaufnahmen können wir Friedhofsflächen digitalisieren. Die dabei entstandenen Ergebnisse können in diversen Softwares zur Friedhofsverwaltung verwendet werden.



With the help of aerial photography we can digitize cemetery areas. The results can be used in various software for cemetery management.
