Exciting news for the climbing community!
The Alpinehearts Climbing Festival is returning to Gasthaus Göscheneralp in Göschenen, Switzerland, end of summer 2025!

This unique festival is dedicated to women and LGBTQ+ climbers of all skill levels, offering a welcoming space to connect, learn, and celebrate diversity in the climbing world. Participants can look forward to a variety of workshops, including introductions to rock climbing, multi-pitch techniques, traditional climbing, and more, all led by experienced guides. Beyond climbing, the festival emphasizes community, empowerment, and sustainability, set against the stunning alpine backdrop. As a female photographer in the climbing world, I am constantly inspired by the resilience and determination I see from other women who challenge the norms of this traditionally male-dominated space. Capturing moments of empowerment, whether it’s a woman scaling a difficult route or sharing a supportive smile with a fellow climber, has deepened my passion for both climbing and photography. Being behind the lens, I strive to highlight the strength and beauty that women bring to the sport, showing that we belong in the outdoors just as much as anyone else.

“We are , a non-profit climbing organization in the Alps for women and q***r folks.
In 2024, we have hosted the first-ever climbing festival of its kind in the Swiss Alps!

Our goal is to celebrate and support underrepresented groups in alpine sports, including trad climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering. While gym climbing has improved in diversity, the outdoors—especially alpine environments—still lag behind.

With less than 0.5% of Swiss mountain guides being women, we’re passionate about creating change. Our festival aims to provide a safe, inclusive space for all genders to connect, grow in confidence, and share the joy of climbing.”
