There is a new concept for female solopreneurs, called The Portrait Day. It is about helping you get the pictures you need to show up online (on your website or social media). Portraits of you, but actually more than that. Images that tell more about what you do and all the details that also tell your story.

It's a beautiful collaboration with Tulips & Cake and Sanne De Lee (who creates stunning natural make-up).

It's been a bit of a radio silence here. But, behind the scenes I have been busy preparing something exciting! A new concept.

One day each month of the autumn, dedicated to personal brand photography at one of the most beautiful places around Leuven that I know. At the home of Kristien of Tulips & Cake.

What's so special about this event?

It combines customization and preparation (focusing on you and your business and brand) with an experience that is all about you, about connection and having a good time. Also, Sanne De Lee is going to be there to help you feel confident (she really rocks natural make-up and can do cool stuff with your hair).

Creative rut. The color orange leaves my mind blank. And it almost hurts my eyes. It’s too much. It’s too loud.

But I love the taste of apricots, their softness and sweetness. Their velvet skin. Among the wild and yet calming waves of the deep blue sea they become a beacon.

This sweet velvet orange I can embrace, while I wait for more picture to emerge from among the cascading blue of the deep.

Stilllife study, waiting for better weather to do outdoor photo shoots. Discovering orange. Thinking about how having your own business, putting yourself "out there" is not always smooth sailing. But there is freedom and space. Discovery. Transition. Growth. Wonderful and scary. A one-of-a-kind sail.

Here are some images I took for her upcoming website and social media. Becoming part of her journey into entrepreneurship in this way means a lot me. Supporting, brainstorming, thinking along. The whole deal. Not just images. It is about connection and sharing and doing stuff together.

Helping each other take the next steps. In yellow shoes. Or in the shoes of your color.

Self portrait, exploring "White".

Have been posting few other white images on Instagram recently and it might look like I have changed style. Did I?
Is everything going to be white-ish from now on? Absolutely not.

I am on a color hunt. Dedicating time to individual colors and color combinations. I just can't help it, but when I see images or movies that are so well color-designed, I am sort of ecstatic. Combine it with the right sort of lighting and I am glued to the screen.

Nice. Thanks, Andrea, for sharing. But why should anyone else care?

Because colors are the heralds of our messaging. They underline our mission. They embrace our story. Color matters.

Therefore, I want to become more fluent in speaking "colorese". To help you tell your visual story.

Out on a mission. Taming colors. Looking for them. Listening to their whispers.

Still pondering which color should be next. Thought about yellow, mustard or blue.
