The Red River Hog 🐷

Found in the Guinean and Congolese forest areas of Africa, usually near to a river or swamp.

These Hogs are on the scale of conservation at Least Concern, but their population is decreasing.

A fun fact - a full grown adult can weigh up to 70kg!

T2 Hawk ✈️

The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single-engine, jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft. It was first known as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk.

The Hawk T2 is a transonic, 2-seat training aircraft. It’s used by the RAF to train pilots to fly fast jet combat aircraft.

The Airbus A-400M Atlas ✈️

Again different for myself, I was afforded the opportunity to go to RAF Brize Norton and photograph the A-400 for the day.

The Airbus A400M Atlas is a European four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. It was designed by Airbus Defence and Space, as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

The Airbus Beluga XL ✈️

Something a bit different for me as a photographer. I usually like landscape or animals to be my focal point - but when the opportunity arose to go to the Airbus sight in Broughton, I figured why not!

The Airbus BelugaXL is a large transport aircraft based on the Airbus A330-200F built by Airbus to replace the original Airbus BelugaST to transport very large aircraft components, such as wings. The aircraft made its first flight on 19 July 2018.

Diamond Beach - Iceland 🇮🇸

Not far from Reynisfjara is the Diamond beach on the south coast of Iceland.
Icebergs which fill the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon wash up on shore, creating a stark contrast with the volcanic black sand.

Höfn Viking Village 🇮🇸

Höfn Viking Village is an old film set that was created by the studio, but the film was never actioned, so now it’s a tourist area nestled at the base of Mount Vestrahorn. Providing stunning back drops and incredible weather patterns.

The village itself is a wonderful walk around, and is as close to stepping back in history as you could hope.

About 3km outside of Höfn just off of route 1. Costing 800kr. Person to go into and look around, but also grants you entry to some amazing beaches, and to walk the perimeter of a NATO Radar base.

Icelandic Sheep - Roaming free since 874AD 🇮🇸🐑

Yes it’s true, Icelandic sheep were introduced to the island by viking settlers in the late 9th century, and have roamed free ever since!

An Icelandic Ewe can weigh up to 150-160lbs when fully mature, with Rams reaching weights of 200-220lbs!

The Icelandic sheep do not carry the flocking instinct like a lot sheep do, and they can be quite fine in a solitary condition, but this works out with the vast amounts of space on Icelandic farms. They have done remarkably well in the harsh conditions Iceland can offer, in fact they thrive!

Hverir 🇮🇸

Hverir is a geothermal area at the foothill of Namafjall, not far from Lake Mývatn.

The landscape here is incomparable to anything you else I’ve ever seen. You could be on another planet.

Hverir is home to sulphur steam vents, colourful bubbling mud pools, cracked mud on the ground and fumaroles.

This place is gorgeous, and truly an experience unlike anything seen before. The smell is long lasting, and can be to strong for some. But a place well worth visiting none the less.

Reykjavík Sunset in The Most Northern Capital in the World 🇮🇸 (Unedited photo)

Reykjavík is situated in the southwest of Iceland, and is the capital of this great nation. It’s latitude is 64°08’N - making it the northernmost capital in the world.

It is believed that Reykjavík was the first permanent settlement to be established when Iceland was founded by Ingólfr Arnarson in 874 CE.

The city was officially founded in 1786 as a trading town, and slowly grew over the decades into the city it is today.

Reykjavík is one of the most beautiful places to visit within Iceland and is full of culture, vibrance and incredible.

Þingvellir National Park 🇮🇸

Þingvellir national park is 40km northeast of Reykjavík. A gorgeous landscape with stunning views everywhere you look. Lusciously green moss and trees, and deep blue lakes.

Þingvellir national park sits on two tectonic plates - the North American and Eurasian plates, this is one of the only places on the world where you experience the tectonic rift above ground.

Officially founded in 1930, marking the 1000th anniversary of the Althing. And then gradually Being expanded over years to conserve the natural fauna and wildlife, and 2004 was designated a world heritage site.
