As an artist I find this very disturbing. I fulfill requests of people by sending them a copy of their pictures with my watermark embedded of course. The lease they could do is acknowledge who took the pictures but NOOOOO some people actually CROP my watermark out.
Facebook is doing the same to video creators. It creates millions of pages sometimes under celebrities and these are run by pirates who use code pullers to extract the link and download the videos and reupload them to claim the viewership.
This has to stop. Content creators need to be acknowledged and/or given a share of the views from Facebook. If you are a creator you will definitely know how it feels to be cheated out of your hard work. So start the movement and support the artists by reporting the pages that host stolen content
