When you think of Brazilian beaches, your imagination quickly lands on Rio’s shores or one of the paradises in the Northeast. But São Paulo has its secrets too.

The northern coast of São Paulo combines the wild beauty of the Atlantic Rainforest draped over the sea, with countless waterfalls along the way.

Boasting over 180 beaches, dozens of islands and lush nature between its 5 main cities, the coast offers quiet villages, idyllic stays, and stunning locations waiting to be found.

Prumirim and Itamambuca in Ubatuba, and Barra do Sahy in São Sebastião, here are just a few of our favourite spots.

Endless white dunes, thousands of crystal-clear freshwater lagoons under open sky. No ocean. No river. An otherworldly landscape that rewrites the rules of what a landscape can be.
