We’re excited to open “Thrutopia”, Inland’s first collective project, at the Les Rencontres d’Arles this year. With this project, we document imaginative and grounded responses to environmental collapse and political decline, celebrating acts of resistance, care, and renewal in a world in transformation.

After two years in the making, “Thrutopia” will premiere at Les Rencontres d’Arles, from 7 July to 5 October 2025, as part of the “Controvese & Paradox” programme by Fotohaus Arles, exhibited at the Fondation Manuel Rivera-Ortiz.

Told in three acts and an epilogue, the exhibition is curated by Emmanuelle Hascoët . Together, 14 international Inland photographers explore stories of adaptation, disruption, and imagined futures through and beyond crisis.

Presented with the support of Hahnemühle , Ministry of Culture, CNAP and in partnership with Fotohaus Arles 2025 , Fovearts , Pro Image Service .

“Thrutopia” is Inland’s first collective project, documenting creative resistance and
resilience in a world facing deep ecological and social unraveling.

curator of La Grande Commande for the BnF (2021–2024), a national commission by

[OPEN CALL] We are happy to share that Inland is coming back this year during the opening week of the Rencontres d’Arles, with the second edition of the :deux_cœurs:Speed dating :deux_cœurs: !

On 11 July 5PM, participate in a unique opportunity to connect with industry experts, who came to meet you and only you. With a drink in your hand, this event follows the format of speed dating, with conversations lasting 6 minutes focusing on your practice and projects. Unlike traditional portfolio reviews, this event focuses on personal introductions and interactions with the experts we invited.
This is a privileged moment to highlight your professional qualities, personality and potential for collaboration !

Images will be showcased at the end of the event, in order to make sure that every participant has had the opportunity to engage with each expert.

To keep the setting intimate, we ask for you to send an application.

Inland x Hahnemühle House announcement on May 12

Inland is thrilled to announce our new pop-up space, the Inland x Hahnemühle House in Arles this summer !

We’ve created this house to be something special, not just a venue, but a home for conversation, creative exchange and real connection around documentary photography. Think of it as a gathering place, where we will be hosting talks, workshops and events but also as a space for you to meet our photographers, connect and imagine new things together.

We’ll be here during the professional week of Les Rencontres d’Arles with the team of Hahnemühle, we will be able to share some of our work and approach, with each image printed on Hahnemühle paper, bringing every story to life.

We’d love for you to come by this summer, step inside this house and say hi !
