GIMC JAZZ FESTIVAL STRIKES THE RIGHT CHORD

Gaborone International Music and Culture Week
(GIMC Jazz Festival) was a beautiful fusion of soulful music, great ambience, delicious food and good vibes.

Despite the chilly weather, the atmosphere remained electric as American R&B star Karyn White delivered a nostalgic, soul-stirring performance.

South Africa’s Amanda Black also brought the house down with fan favourites including Vuka, Power and Kutheni Na. Botswana’s Sereetsi and the Natives added their rich, soulful sound to the experience, while Han C and Ezra Neethings further elevated an already stellar line-up.

It was, without a doubt, a night of music, memories and pure enjoyment.

Mokolodi Nature Reserve and The Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation held a special fundraising event themed "An Evening for Botswana's Future," highlighting Mokolodi's dedication to environmental education and conservation. We were honored by the presence of our Patron, President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko. The fundraiser was a huge success, and over BWP 500 000 was raised during the auction and also through business sponsorships.

HISTORIC BOMU AWARDS DELIVER A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

The Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) Awards delivered a memorable and historic edition, making history as the first time a sitting President, Duma Gideon Boko , attended the prestigious ceremony.

The stars came out in full force, with big names walking away with trophies, awards and cash prizes. The performances were on fire, the energy was electric, and the crowd was thoroughly entertained.

All in all, BOMU pulled out all the stops and delivered an awards night that raised the bar and left a lasting impression. If this edition is anything to go by, the next one could be bigger, bolder and fireworks all the way.

So, who needs a red carpet when you can roll out a denim one, right? 😂 The Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino gardens turned into a giant playground on Saturday, where fashionistas rocked their best jeans-and-white ensembles, and the DJs spun tracks that made everyone wanna get jiggy with it! 💃
