An Artist Made in Belize
Richard Holder is an acclaimed, #Belizean-born #VisualArtist. He is the first grandson of award-winning local Kriol Calypsonian Cleveland K. Berry and the only son of Dr. Marla Berry-Holder, Ph.D., who was an active #philanthropist and pioneer leader in #Belize’s citrus industry. He exploded onto a blossoming Belize City #art scene in 1999 with his first solo #photography exhibit entitled “#NUDE _ an #Exhibition without Inhibition” (at the House of Culture/ Government House). That year, seven pages of his erotic #photography were also featured in #Penthouse España (Spain). His has been a colorful and diverse career in the creative #arts that has spanned almost two decades, with solo and group exhibitions in Belize, USA, The Dominican Republic, Suriname, Cuba, Mexico, and Taiwan.
Through this medium, we celebrate and recognize the connection he has made within his homeland and internationally via his various #exhibits while keeping an eye out for new #art projects and future #exhibitions.
