I am often asked how it is that I do what I do :) So here is the best explanation I could come up with!
What I do is called photo compositing! Compositing in a nutshell is taking a piece of one image and adding it to another. That is the very bare bones explanation and its definitely more complicated than it sounds lol! Not only do I do the traditional taking of part of an image and adding it to another (which is definitely tricky when you consider lighting, color, angles, etc), I spend hours tweaking, finagling, and basically browbeating the final image until it looks how I want it lol! I use brushes, filters, burning, dodging, light manipulation and more to come out the other end with something that (hopefully) looks like it came from a storybook! So while I am not physically painting an image with acrylics or watercolors, I am doing basically the digital version of it 🙂 Hope this helps explain how I get my images
