Hello everyone, Edina's friend /social media helper here again with another update. It was around this time last year we had to make the very hard decision to cancel the remaining Santa Experience sessions after finding out the very unexpected, awful news of Edina's cancer. This past year has been alot for Edina, both physically & mentally. She's gone through ongoing Aggressive treatments, & countless appointments, and admissions to the hospital. Edina is a fighter, and IS going to beat this! Unfortunately, she's just not quite ready to get back to work yet as Edina is facing alot of side effects from the aggressive treatments that were required to beat this cancer. The good news is those treatments have proven to be successful! ♥ The bad news is, she does not have the energy or strength to come back quite yet. It hurts our hearts to disappoint you, Edina's wonderful, and loyal clients. Unfortunately the Santa Experience is not going to be possible this year. 😢 We're so sorry & hope you can understand. We appreciate your ongoing support and continued prayers for Edina. She reads all your messages and comments & appreciates you all so much. 💕

Hello everyone. Edina's friend /social media helper here again for an update! First off, Edina and her family want to thank you ALL so much for your kind comments, messages & prayers during this difficult time. Your words of encouragement have truly kept Edina going in times where she felt discouraged. When I first posted the news that we had to cancel our beloved Santa Experience event because of Edina suddenly finding out how ill she really was, we had no idea really how long she'd be off, requiring treatment. We originally just estimated a couple of months. Little did we know that Edina would be in for the fight for her life. 😔

Fall 2021 Edina started feeling off. Something wasn't right. Sick days, cancelled sessions here & there. Very unlike Edina. Several Doctors appointments, referrals & hospital visits later, just weeks before Christmas, Edina was diagnosed with Re**al Cancer. It wasn't many months before we got the frightening news the cancer had spread to her pelvis and lymph nodes, while the tumor in her re**um was growing larger. With aggressive chemo, radiation, a holistic approach, as well as her sheer will & determination to beat this cancer, Edina is doing everything she can to win this battle. A very costly battle. When we first announced Edina was ill & needed to temporarily close, a few of her incredibly generous clients had commented & messaged asking if there was a go-fund-me set up to help while Edina wasn't working. At the time Edina felt there was no need. Edina refused to allow anyone to create a fund to help. 7 months later, Edina is still not able to work, and this battle is not yet over. Edina recently started her next round of treatment. Please keep her in your thoughts & prayers that this is going to be it! 🤞 Edina's wonderful niece has created a go-fund-me for Edina after MUCH persuasion. If you can find it in your hearts to help in anyway, be it a donation, a prayer, or a share of this post, it's greatly appreciated.

I know I'm not the only one who is eager for Edina to be able to capture our kids on film once again - giving us wonderful memories that last a lifetime. ♥

Hello, Edina's Christmas time social media helper again. I am writing you all with some bad news I'm afraid. The Ultimate Santa Experience Abbotsford for 2021 has to be cancelled. (Those that had appointments booked have already been sent an email as well) I received a call from a very devestated Edina that we need to cancel all remaining Santa sessions, and all other photography sessions she has booked for the rest of this year. Unfortunately Edina has been privately dealing with some health issues & recently had some important tests she'd been waiting for. Well, she received a phone call that she needed to come in urgently to speak with some specialists. 😔 The news was not good I'm afraid. Edina is needing immediate surgery & ongoing treatment on a regular basis to fight this. She will physically not be able to do any photography for some time. Edina has expressed how sorry she is & feels absolutely terrible for letting her clients down. Some of you she's known a long time. Those that know Edina, know that she would never cancel this cherished event unless it was for a very good reason. I'm so sorry to give you this news as I know you were looking very forward to this, as was Edina. We will of course be issuing refunds to everyone who prepaid & sent deposits. Please allow us 2-3 days to get this done. While we know it's not the same, we would like to let you know that Santa has offered everyone who had booked a Santa session a chance for the children to have a video call with him at a special rate. This special rate is only available for those that were booked in for the Santa Experience. Details for this can be found on our page here, Natural Beauty Photo Studio, in the next few days. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and again are very sorry. Please keep Edina in your thoughts & prayers.
