Dear friends, family, and beautiful community,
With the heaviest heart, I need to share that my grandma passed away peacefully [on February 22, 2026]. After a long and courageous journey, she slipped away surrounded by love, and while we are grateful she is no longer in pain, the ache of her absence is profound.
In just 11 months, I've lost my mom, my papa, and now my grandma—the three people who shaped so much of who I am. The waves of grief keep coming, and right now they feel endless. Yet amid the sorrow, I'm holding onto the gift of all the years we had: her stories, her laughter, her fierce love, and the way she made every room feel warmer.
I was hoping to make it to Ontario in time to say goodbye in person, but time moved faster than plans could. Instead, I'm finding small ways to honor her—through memories, through tears, and through continuing to do what she always encouraged: capture beauty and connection in the world around us.
I'm still offering photo sessions of any kind—family, couples, pets, portraits, creative work—by donation. 100% of proceeds will now go toward covering the costs of travel for her memorial/funeral arrangements, any final family needs, and supporting my healing in the months ahead (counseling, time off, or simply breathing through the days).
No amount is too small, and there's absolutely no obligation—your kind words, a share, or just holding space for me already means everything. Photography has been my way of preserving love and moments that matter; right now, it's helping me feel connected to her legacy while I navigate this storm.
Thank you for the love you've shown so far. It reminds me that even in the darkest seasons, kindness still finds its way through.
With gratitude, tears, and quiet hope,
Maria 🌈💕🌹💫🌟🌱💖🔥💫
