Just hit send on this beautiful gallery from this intimate end of May wedding!

There’s something so special about delivering a gallery and knowing a couple is about to relive one of the best days of their lives all over again. I can’t wait for these two to dive into these memories.

I’ve been deep in the editing cave during office hours lately, and with this final May gallery officially delivered, it’s time to turn my attention back to all of my June weddings and sessions. 👀

After a busy stretch, I’m actually looking forward to a wedding-free weekend this coming weekend. A little breathing room in the calendar goes a long way this time of year and helps me stay on top of editing!

Something I’ve been wrestling with lately:

I don’t want to care less about my work. I love my work. I love having goals. I love building something meaningful.

The challenge is learning how to care deeply about my work without constantly putting myself last.

For a long time, I treated taking care of myself like something that happened after the important stuff was done. After the emails, the editing, and crossing a few more things off my to-do list.

But what I’m trying to consistently remind myself is that taking care of myself is also part of the important stuff.

Because prioritizing my health isn’t taking away from my work. It’s what allows me to keep showing up for my clients, my business, and the goals I’m working toward.

It’s a mindset shift that feels obvious when I say it out loud but in practice, it’s one I still have to come back to again and again.

Is anyone else like this?!?

The lush summer greenery is one of the many reasons I love photographing this time of year and the Arboretum never disappoints!

The funny thing is, an hour before this session, it was raining at the Arboretum and under a thunderstorm watch. 😅 Meanwhile, 40 minutes away at home, I had blue skies.

After a quick radar check, we decided to trust that the rain would stop in time and kept our plans as they were.

Thank goodness we did because the weather ended up being absolutely perfect and these two and their sweet pup were such a joy to spend the evening with. 🤍🐾

A little sneak peek from yesterday’s wedding ☔️

June has certainly been keeping me on my toes with the rain, but being at Aquatopia on a rainy day almost feels like you’re in a tropical rainforest while being able to stay completely dry at the same time 😅

I’m forever thankful to photograph couples who embrace whatever their wedding day brings them and choose to soak in every moment with the people they love most. Sometimes the unexpected ends up making the day even more memorable.🤍

A little sneak peek into this past weekend’s wedding!

A light rain came and went throughout their ceremony, only to turn into an absolute downpour the moment they were announced husband and wife and reached the end of the aisle. It honestly felt like the weather was celebrating right alongside them.

But if anything, the rain only added to the joy. These two and all of their people embraced every second of it, making for the most joyful day filled with so much love and laughter.

It’s days like this that remind me why I love what I do. My cheeks hurt from smiling by the end of it and I have a feeling these photos are going to make me smile all over again while editing them.🤍

There are honestly so many beautiful ways to style bridesmaids, whether that’s everyone matching perfectly or mixing different dresses together.

When mixed styles are chosen intentionally, the combination of textures, tones, and silhouettes photographs so beautifully. It adds this soft dimension while still feeling cohesive and timeless, and I love that it also gives each bridesmaid the chance to wear something they feel comfortable and confident in.

Coordinated bridesmaid looks will always feel timeless to me, and I’ve been loving how thoughtfully mixed styles and tones can add so much softness and dimension while still feeling elegant and cohesive 🤍

I always love seeing the locations you choose for your wedding, but even more than that, I love seeing how you make them your own.

I really do believe the space you choose and how you choose to fill it plays such a big role in how your wedding day feels.

One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to photograph the same venue more than once and being reminded that it never feels the same twice.

The same walls. The same landscape. The same venue.

And yet every couple brings something completely different into it. The florals, the colours, the candles, and the personal touches.

That’s what takes a venue from being just a beautiful space to feeling like your wedding. 🤍

When every single guest ends up on the dance floor, a whole different kind of energy takes over. It’s loud, joyful, and a little chaotic… in the best way!

And capturing moments like this?
It feels a little the same 😅

Squeezing between people, moving with everything as it’s happening, trying to keep up with it all. It’s fast-paced and unpredictable… but the kind of chaos that’s filled with so much joy, you can’t help but love every second of it! 🤍
