🖤 Love, Connection & Being Completely Yourself📸
There’s something special about photographing a couple in a place that gives us room to explore, have fun, and create something that feels like them.
For this session, we wandered through downtown Amherstburg, using its historic buildings, textures, doorways, and little hidden corners as our backdrop. I love how their style and connection came through in these portraits. 🖤
As a photographer, creating an environment where every couple feels welcomed, respected, comfortable, and celebrated is incredibly important to me. Your photos should reflect your relationship and who you truly are, not someone else’s idea of what love is supposed to look like.

🤍 The Posed Photos Matter… But So Do the In-Between Moments
When I photograph couples and families, I believe there’s a place for both the beautifully posed portraits and the completely natural moments.
In my last post, I shared some of the playful, genuine moments from this session, the laughter, the silliness, and the connection that came through when I guided these two to simply be themselves. Those are the photographs that capture personality and tell you something about who they are together.
But I also love creating portraits like these. 🤍 A little more posed, a little more intentional, while still allowing their connection to shine through.
That balance is such an important part of how I photograph a session. I’ll guide you when you need it, pose you for those timeless portraits, and then give you room to laugh, move, interact and forget about the camera for a while.
Because years from now, I want you to have the beautiful photo for the wall, but I also want you to have the photographs that bring you right back to how it felt to be together in that moment. ❤️

🤍 The Kind of Love You Can Feel 🌈
Some couples make my job so easy because their love just shines through every photograph. These two were exactly that. From the sweet little moments to the laughter and silliness in between, you could genuinely feel how much they adore each other. 🥹❤️
Their session at beautiful Willistead Manor in Windsor, Ontario was filled with genuine smiles, playful moments, and the kind of connection that can’t be posed. These are always some of my favourite photographs, the ones that simply feel like you.

🎂 The Gift of Family 🤍
What do you give someone who has spent 70 years building a lifetime of memories? More memories, with the people they love most. ❤️
This multigenerational family photo session was given as a 70th birthday gift, and I can’t think of a more meaningful way to celebrate such an incredible milestone. Bringing everyone together, from grandparents to grandchildren, created photographs that will only become more precious as the years go by.
Gifts come and go, but photographs of the people we love become part of our family legacy. 📸🤍

We got to meet Zachery Dereniowski, the 𝐙𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐤𝐢 , right here in Windsor! 😁

It’s one thing to watch someone spread kindness, generosity, and positivity online, but getting the chance to meet him in person made it that much more special.

Such a great reminder that a little kindness can go a long way. ❤️

There’s something extra special about a multigenerational family session, bringing grandparents and grandchildren together and capturing a season of life that will never look quite the same again. 🥹
