Excited to celebrate my extremely talented and highly respected friend, Brent Perniac on his feature in Hamilton City Magazine! It was a pleasure to take the photos for Meredith MacLeod’s fantastic article. His expertise and talent are exceptional. So well deserved!

Hamilton photographer has captured images of hundreds of actors, singers, politicians, sports figures, and other famous folk over a 20-year career he says all happened by accident. Brent Perniac has taken photos of just about every celebrity you can think of over his more than 20 years behind the ca...

Meet our adorable new Cockapoo pup! We brought him home last weekend from the amazing in Caledonia, and he’s already stolen our hearts. ❤️
There’s something special about capturing those first little adventures, and this moment felt just right. ✨ I may have given the walkway a little creative touch, but the real magic is all him. Now we just need the perfect name!
He’s a black and white merle with the sweetest black eyes and fluffy fur. We’ve thought of Oreo, Shadow, Zorro, and Bandit, but none have really stuck. Drop your best name suggestions in the comments! ⬇️🐶

Thrilled to have my photo on the cover of the Neighbours of Ancaster - Best Version Media February edition! I am so honoured to be part of this team! Huge thank you to the amazing Cecilia, Allison & Rainy who so beautifully showcase such a supportive and strong community! Grab your copy!

Hello February!
Did we all survive January? Are we looking forward to the shortest month of the year? Yes, indeed! There’s a lot going on locally, so get ready to be entertained, whether by taking in the incredible, yearly Hamilton Winterfest, several RBG events, the glorious Ancaster Butter Tart Festival, or the Mom’s Market Family Fun Day.
Also be sure to check out the monthly Art Crawl on James North, a book club at the Ancaster branch of the Hamilton Public Library, and The Little Mermaid presentation at the Memorial Arts Centre.
Speaking of the Memorial Arts Centre, if you’re looking for a way to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, don’t miss Gershwin and Love Songs, a Captivating Classics event featuring John Fanning, Ariana Chris, and Ken Gee, a perfectly romantic way to spend time with that important person in your life. Ancaster Music Society
Just in time for April, you can also read about why you need a professional accountant to do your taxes from Peter Lemmond, Peter's Accounting & Bookkeeping how to get a better night’s
sleep from UROSPOT Ancaster, and what buyers are looking for in homes from Cindy Murrell-Wright, Sales Representative.
We also feature a story about local business, Ancaster Beauty, and Dr. Shamsia Nainar, who has taken a personal interest in helping clients achieve their best skin — and selves — care of her considerable experience and expertise.
Zig Misiak shares with us a little history about Valentine’s Day, and we also have a wonderful article about 100 Men Who Care Hamilton and their impressive fund-raising event for the community. Finally, we feature local family and renowned artists Patrick Bermingham and Amy Willard-Cross, who have made a huge impact in the community both personally and professionally, with Patrick in particular undertaking the notable and the considerable task of restoring the local, historical Sulphur Springs Monument. Don’t miss it!
It’s also Black History Month, Ancaster, so be sure to check out local events taking place to honour notable achievements in Canada and the area. We wish you the best for February and look forward to seeing you again in March! Thanks for supporting all the sponsors of our magazine who make this publication possible.

A huge thank you to Cecilia, Allison, and Rainy for the privilege of working alongside such talented individuals to showcase Ancaster through photography in the Ancaster Neighbours Magazine. 🌟 It’s been an honour to be part of this project and highlight the beauty of our community. Grateful for the collaboration and creativity we shared! 📸✨

This year marks a significant milestone for our magazine as we celebrate 10 years of being part of the Ancaster community. It’s a moment of reflection and heartfelt gratitude for the journey we’ve shared together. To our residents, thank you for welcoming us into your homes month after month. Your engagement, support, and connection to the magazine are the reasons we continue to thrive. Our mission has always been to strengthen the bonds of community, and it’s your trust and enthusiasm that fuel our passion to do so. To the businesses that advertise with us, thank you for believing in the power of local connections. Your partnership has not only supported the magazine but also played a pivotal role in driving growth and opportunity within our community. By choosing to invest locally, you’ve contributed to a thriving local economy and enriched the lives of our neighbours. Community is the cornerstone of everything we do. Over the past decade, we’ve been privileged to celebrate the stories, achievements, and spirit of Ancaster through these pages. Our magazine is a testament to the strength of our shared values and the importance of lifting each other up. To my dedicated team; Allison Dempsey, Rainy Whittaker and Donna Waxman Photography, thank you for your unwavering commitment, creativity, and passion over the years. Your hard work has been instrumental in crafting a publication that serves as a true reflection of the Ancaster community. From creating engaging content to building relationships and ensuring every detail comes together seamlessly, your efforts have been invaluable. This milestone belongs to all of us — our readers, our advertisers, and our team. Together, we’ve built more than just a magazine; we’ve created a space to celebrate local stories, support businesses, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Ancaster so special. As we look ahead, we remain committed to serving as a platform that connects neighbours, supports local businesses, and highlights the very best of Ancaster. This milestone is as much yours as it is ours, and we’re excited to continue this journey together. Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to many more years of celebrating community and fostering growth!
