It was extra meaningful to photograph the last graduate in the Schulhauser family. 🤍

We spent the evening on their family farm near Alida surrounded by golden light, prairie skies and the most stunning gown that fit her personality perfectly…stylish, adventurous and effortlessly beautiful.

Some people come to a session wanting great photos.

Cameron + Jevon came, and what I saw was two people who have already chosen each other….deeply, quietly, completely.

My job wasn’t to create something between them. It was just to witness what was already there. And then capture it.

That’s what I love most about this work. Not the light, not the location…though the lake didn’t hurt…but the moment someone sees themselves the way the person who loves them most already does.

A new month is an invitation.

To begin again. To show up differently. To finally let yourself be seen the way you’ve always deserved to be.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to step into a new season…not just on the calendar, but in yourself. And I think it starts with a quiet decision. A willingness to say YES to what’s calling you forward.

If something in you has been whispering that it’s time…a new chapter, a new way of being witnessed, a moment captured before this version of you passes into the next…I think that whisper is worth listening to.

Rylee chose to take her grad photos at this picturesque field location in Southeast Saskatchewan. Capturing her walking through tall prairie grasses with stormy skies in the distance in her stunning navy gown, was a night I’ll remember forever.

There’s something powerful about a girl who blazes her own trail. She’s strong. Determined. Grounded. The kind of graduate who could live in a Nicholas Sparks movie (hello ‘The Longest Ride’ energy)…equal parts boldness and softness.

She headed to Lakeland College and dreams of seeing Ireland one day… but for her graduation, the prairies are part of her story….the place that shaped who she is.

There’s something extra special about photographing someone you’ve watched grow up at the dance studio…here’s a few favourite portraits from Kerison’s grad formal session.

We met at one of my favourite Estevan nature locations where her sage gown shimmered in the soft evening light. She radiated grace, confidence and that unmistakable kindness that’s always been hers.

Kerison headed to the U of S to pursue a degree in engineering…blending beauty, brains and a quiet strength that I so admire. Her favourite movie is Little Women and honestly, that feels fitting…she carries that same gentle, determined spirit. ✨
