Silhouette photography is something that I would love to get into more. It isn't the intricacies or details of what is being taken, but the power of the object as a whole. There were two silhouette photos that I really enjoyed from my old job. One serious, one playful. This one shows the serious nature of this red-tailed hawk, but also the beauty behind them as well. Taking pictures of animals from my previous job is what really opened me up to photography. Just to be able to remember a certain critter, their mannerisms, or just the way they felt safe was truly everything. Animals are definitely a huge part of my life and without them I don't really know where I would be right now. So as I look back at these photos, and the ones to come, I'll start it out by letting you get acquainted with this baby weasel.

Going through my backlog of photos I realized so much of my initial inspiration was trying to use natural lighting in a way to enhance certain aspects of the picture. I didn't have any fancy camera taking photos, just an old Samsung phone. But in all honesty, starting out, that's all you really need. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars right off the bat. Just grab your phone, find something that speaks to you, and capture it.
