Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet boy, Knox.

The little face behind so many of my ideas, the reason this business has grown with a different kind of purpose, and my favorite tiny adventure buddy. He’s equal parts climber, wrestler, cuddle bug, and the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Oma Toni’s 80th birthday celebration.

With five children, their families, and plenty of loved ones gathered together, it was a big, joyful, wonderfully chaotic celebration. I loved getting to capture all the different family constellations, from the full family photos to the little in-between moments that make days like this so special.

And as a German who grew up close to the Dutch border, photographing this wonderful Dutch family felt a little like home too. Hup Holland Hup! 🇳🇱😉

Some sessions tell a story that’s bigger than words.

It was such an honor to photograph Dawn and Manuel as they prepare to welcome their newest little love. Along with all the excitement for what’s to come, they also brought a beautiful butterfly-shaped urn in memory of their daughter, Misty. She remains such an important part of their family, and it was incredibly meaningful to capture her presence in a way that reflects the love they continue to carry for her.

Love doesn’t end… it grows, changes, and makes room for new beginnings while always holding space for those we miss.

Prom is one of those moments that marks the beginning of the end of an incredible chapter. It’s a milestone that celebrates how far these graduates have come and the memories they’ve made along the way.

What makes it even more special is that it’s not just a celebration for the graduates. It’s a celebration for the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and all the loved ones who have supported them throughout their journey.

Watching the graduates hand out roses and share a dance with the people who mean the most to them was such a beautiful moment. It was so special to witness the love, pride, and joy in the room 🤍

I had the pleasure of photographing a few wonderful couples from Baddeck Academy this year, and while the sky stayed pretty grey, we were lucky enough to avoid the rain. Sometimes that’s all you can ask for!

This mama and her boys were an absolute whirlwind in the best way during their photoshoot. Four boys, four completely different personalities, but one thing they all have in common is how deeply they love their mama. 🤍

There were sweet smiles, endless laughter, and plenty of running around - capturing the beautiful chaos that comes with raising boys. Every moment felt genuine, playful, and full of love.

This beautiful session was part of my Apple Blossom Minis, and it was such a joy to document these memories for them. 🌸

Among the apple blossoms with the lovely Lateesha 🌸

I’ve gotten to know Lateesha through my son’s daycare, and one thing that’s always stood out is how sweet and caring she is with all the kids. It was such a joy to capture this beautiful seasonal maternity session as she prepares to welcome another little one into their already wonderful family.

She is absolutely glowing, and the blossoms were the perfect backdrop for such a soft, natural, and timeless session. 🤍

Karla and Kenneth are one of my wedding couples for this year, and I can’t wait for their wedding this October.

One of my favourite parts of this job is when people feel comfortable enough to just be themselves. We got the sweet, romantic photos, and then somewhere along the way Kenneth mentioned JC Penney photos. Naturally, we had to make it happen. 😂

Looking forward to celebrating with these two later this fall. 🫶🏻
