The next round of .ed empower was regarding using side light. Thankfully I had my trusty sidekick to explore a (new to us) beach. We didn’t have much time since there was only a few nights with full sun to get out & use.

As always though, Arthur delivered. We went two separate times to try out some different ideas & lenses. This old school postcard feel photo was my final choice. It got us into the top 10.

It will need a bit of a crop & a resubmit but still relishing getting into the top 10 with such a talented group.

I’m back with another round of challenges this year. The first round focused on leading lines & while this didn’t make it in the top 10 (needed a crop adjustment), they loved the personality oozing out of Arthur. If you know him - you know he takes his job as a model VERY seriously.

My slumber party is pretty great. He’s a 10 month old active boy who really wants to snuggle and hang with his people. We fostered him as a puppy & 6 months later he is just as great as he was then.

He’s a teenager so he was some energy to get out - but he loves to walk and sniff, plays fetch or will just toss a toy around by himself while bouncing around. Once he’s got his energy out - he is content to nap and snuggle.

He knows his name (&comes back when called along with checking in often), sits and knows down. Someone is going to get so very lucky with him.

There isn't anything better than helping shelter dogs & these ones really rocked their Christmas attire. Imagine how much better they'd look in their Christmas attire in front of a tree?!

while we did just get some snow (finally!), I’ll be sharing more fall colored gems for a bit.

On day 3 of the .ed workshop in Cape Breton we hiked up to a waterfall with so many fun stops along the way to shoot in. My favorite spots were along the stream & thankfully were game to join me in the water for this gorgeous shot 🍁

Fall colors were abundant but we also got to do a photo shoot at the beach during the .ed workshop which was of course right up my alley.

The tide perfectly cooperated to get a reflection for .fennell.948 of one of her gorgeous dogs 🌊

Just over a month ago I was so incredibly lucky to spend a week immersed in dog photography in Cape Breton with .ed . I have finally finished all my edits and submitted them 🙌🏻

I can’t wait to share more but starting with one of the amazing .willows.world

So, I think everyone who follows me knows what a special place in my heart the New Hampshire SPCA holds.

I was so excited when they reached out about working together for their 2026 calendar! This year it is free to enter (so get your photos in!!!), but the pet who gets the MOST VOTES will get a photoshoot with me!
