I did a different kind of photo shoot yesterday with my daughter —
We spent time with a couple of her handmade Highland cows, one of the sweetest little creations she knits for her small business, Knits by Wylie.
Courtney learned to knit from her Nan when she was around 10 years old, and it’s become something she carries with her — a craft, a comfort, and a passion she fits in around her full‑time job and family life.
Her Highland cows are just one part of her little farmyard family, each with its own personality. She also knits chickens, bunnies, and other sweet animals — some sitting on the shelves of local farm stores, others finding their way into new homes and into the hands of kids who adore them. Watching her pieces travel out into the world has been such a joy.
If you’d like to see more of her creations, you can find her at .
