One of my favourite parts of this job is when one family leads me to another. 🤍

H & M found me through one of my amazing clients, and from the moment we met during their maternity session, everything just felt easy. The conversation flowed, the nerves disappeared, and it honestly felt like spending time with friends.

Fast forward a few weeks, and I was welcomed back into their home to meet sweet little Maggie. She was an absolute dream—sleeping peacefully through almost the entire session while we documented all those tiny, fleeting newborn moments.

And of course… we couldn’t leave out her very proud fur sister. 🐾 I love when pets are included because they’re just as much a part of the family, especially during these first few weeks at home.

These are the moments I hope families look back on years from now—not just to remember what their baby looked like, but to remember what this season of life felt like. The quiet cuddles, sleepy snuggles, wagging tails, and the overwhelming love that fills every room.

Some moments don’t need a grand production to feel unforgettable.

Becca & Cody chose to celebrate with an intimate micro wedding at Glen Oro, a place that’s especially meaningful to Becca since she works on the Eco Retreat side of the property. Getting married somewhere that already feels like home adds an extra layer to every photo.

These are just a few random portraits from throughout their day, but the very first image is my favourite.

It’s Becca taking those final steps before seeing Cody for their first look. The excitement, the nerves, the anticipation… all wrapped into one quiet moment before everything changed.

Sometimes the in-between moments become the ones you treasure most. 🤍

Anyone else mentally living in the water this week? 🥵🌊

With this heat wave, these photos somehow make me feel a little cooler every time I look at them.

But what makes this moment even more special isn’t the splash or the sunset…

It’s that this is the very place where these two first met. ❤️

I love when couples choose a location that actually means something to them. Years from now, these photos won’t just remind them of what they looked like—they’ll remind them of where their story began.

Beautiful locations are always a bonus, but meaningful locations? Those are the ones that turn photos into memories.

I think Ivy & Trevor may have started a new tradition. 🍻🤍

Before we took a single photo, we met up at one of their favourite places—Quayle’s Brewery—for a drink.

No cameras. No pressure. Just time to chat about their wedding, how they met, life, and everything in between.

By the time we started wandering the property, they weren’t wondering what to do with their hands or worrying about being in front of the camera. We were just hanging out.

And honestly… I think it shows.

The laughter felt effortless, the quiet moments happened naturally, and every photo feels like them.

I always say engagement sessions are about more than getting beautiful photos. They’re about building trust, getting comfortable together, and making sure your wedding day feels like you’re spending it with someone you already know.

So now I’m thinking… maybe every engagement session should start this way.

Coffee? A brewery? A cocktail? Somewhere that’s meaningful to you.

One thing I’ll always recommend to every couple?

Book an engagement session. Even if it’s not with me.

That’s exactly why every one of my wedding collections includes one.

It’s not just about getting beautiful photos (although you’ll definitely get those 😉). It’s about getting to know each other before one of the biggest days of your life.

You get to see how I work, how I guide you, and what it’s actually like being in front of my camera. By the time your wedding day arrives, I’m no longer “the photographer”—I’m someone you already know, trust, and feel comfortable around.

Before your session, I also send you my Getting to Know You Questionnaire. Instead of spending your engagement session making small talk, I already know the little details that matter. Your favourite date night, how you met, your inside jokes, what you’re nervous about, and what you’re most excited for. It makes our conversations feel natural from the moment we meet.

That comfort carries into your wedding day, and it shows in your photos.

So whether you choose me or another photographer, my advice is the same:

Don’t skip the engagement session. It’s one of the best investments you can make in your wedding photography experience.

✨ The photos are a bonus. The confidence and connection are what make the real difference.

This is your reminder that engagement photos don’t have to happen in a field at sunset.

They can happen on the family boat, with champagne in hand, surrounded by the places and moments that already mean something to you.

For these two, that meant kicking back on the boat, soaking in the golden light, and celebrating this season of their lives together.

I’ve been a little absent from social media lately.

Not because I haven’t been creating. Not because I don’t have photos to share.

Honestly? Social media can feel really damn daunting.

Somewhere along the way, I started feeling like I had to be someone I’m not to stay relevant. I found myself second-guessing every post, wondering if it would connect with potential clients, current clients, or the algorithm.

The funny thing is, what I love most about photography is creating. I love experimenting with editing styles. I love chasing light. I love making images that evoke a feeling.

But then I get stuck in my own head, worrying that everything has to be cohesive, perfectly curated, and fit neatly into a box.

So I’m done with that.

I’m taking social media back for me.

I’m sharing the images I love. The edits that inspire me. The moments that feel like art to me. Because photography isn’t one thing, and neither am I.
