April 18, 2026, opening day at Woodbine Racetrack. I decided to do something different this year, and went to the backside to catch the leadup (and walk back) for the first race from there. I was so glad I did....so many smiles, hugs, fist bumps, and overall excitement for everyone to be back racing. Congratulations to the connections of Haley's Honor and trainer Steven Chircop for the win to start the season. They certainly looked the part for opening day!

WELCOME BACK! I've been quiet on Facebook this winter, but never to worry....with opening day less than 2 weeks away that's about to change! I had the (cold) pleasure of my first morning back shooting works on April 8th, and the horses, people, and lighting all came together to help me make some images I'm excited about.
