a quiet moment for J+G while they exchanged their private vows before their ceremony.✨

if you really love the idea of a first look with your partner, but don’t want to compromise on the classic reveal during the ceremony - a first touch is an equally beautiful alternative. for this, i will guide you and your partner so that both of you are standing back to back, or around a door. this way neither of you can see each other, but you can hold hands, exchange private vows if you want, and just be present together on your special day.

you don’t get much time alone on your day, so after the photos i like to back away and give you a few minutes to take it all in, just you and your lover.🫶🏻

some stills from baby fletcher’s newborn sesh + a sweet story time!!!🫶🏻🥹

when i first met sam and steve, they were pregnant with their first - and i met them at the beach for a maternity/family session. they mentioned they were going to bring their dog *and* their cat to the session - which i of course had no problem with because as a cat parent, i would also 100% do this.

after we introduced ourselves, sam pulls schumer the cat out of the carrier (who was surprisingly, incredibly chill being at the beach???) and i thought to myself “incredible. well, these folks and i are going to be great pals.”

and i couldn’t have been more right with that thought. now flash forward a few years, and i’ve had the honour of photographing their engagement, their wedding, and so many sessions in between. so lucky to call these angels friends - and watching them grow as individuals and as a family is such a joy. also, “pink katie” (courtesy of tucker) is still the coolest nickname i’ve been given tbh. 💖💖💖💖

met up with s+e on the west coast to capture their engagement session - and what a time we had! 10 minutes into our session, out of nowhere the sky decided to open up and hit us with some quite literally torrential rain.

we waited underneath the trees like 3 little chickens hoping the storm would pass, but after a few minutes the 3 of us were already soaked so we decided to just reschedule for the following day before their engagement party.

so, the next morning we headed back to the coast and did it all over again! we got great lighting, great temperature - and the photos turned out perfect. absolute 10/10.

now i’ve had unexpected weather happen during sessions and wedding days, but never have i and the clients had to completely bail mid session and book it back to our cars in a downpour but hey, there’s a first for everything?😂

but seriously, huge shout out to these two perfect angel superstars for being so laidback and fun to work with. 💕

ok i just had to jump on this trend. 🥹

throwback to my tiny terror days!! except instead of a camera, my art tool of choice was a yellow and blue craft table that turned into an easel. now obviously i didn’t know much about art back then - i just knew i liked drawing, painting, colouring, anything creative.

if you look back into my old school memory journals (the ones where you’d put your photo, list what subjects you liked, your friends etc) in the section that asks “what do you want to be when you grow up?” starting as young as primary, i would write “artist” every year without fail.

i always knew what i wanted to do, and i never let anyone convince me otherwise - and i 200% argued with anyone when they tried, LOL.

and now? i run this sweet little business, capturing so many love stories and life moments - and i truly couldn’t imagine doing anything else other than this. to little me: you did good, kid✌🏻🫶🏻🌸

such an amazing day celebrating t+t with their families at the 🫶🏻

taylor and i have known eachother since waaaay back (high school, lol) and i have always thought she was the coolest gal ever, and still do - tbh. trevor is warm + kind, and seeing how much he made taylor smile on their day was so special.

and of course, halifax’s gorgggg downtown made for the perfect backdrops while we ran around taking photos!! i get in my car after every wedding feeling so incredibly grateful and with my cup full - but this one especially stole a spot in my heart.🧡
