Here's a little before and after of a fine art, fall/halloweenish portrait.

I took this beautiful photo not knowing exactly how I was going to edit it, but last night, as I was playing around in photoshop, this was the final product and I love it, I love how organically it happened, and I hope you guys love it as much as I do!

Here's a little before and after. :)

I've been stuck in somewhat of a creative rut as of late, and I needed to get out of it; luckily I knew a girl who would be more than happy to be my model for half hour, and let me do my thing. (Thanks Aimen :))

My favourite thing about photography is taking something and turning into something else, something that only I see. I LOVE the editing process. With trial and error, and about 2 hours later, I got this exactly how I wanted it to look, exactly how I envisioned it when I first took the photo.

My biggest hurdle with this photography journey has been not being true to my creative style, doing things simply because I think that's what other people want. My creative style may not be everyone's cup of tea, some people may say that the straight of camera version was beautiful the way it was, that I didn't need to edit it as much as I did, and don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful photo from the beginning, but that's not what photography is, for me.

Indoor photography isn't usually my style, I'm definitely more all about the natural light, but when I got the chance to photograph a wedding reception, at the obladee wine bar, I couldn't say no. It was a beautiful setting, and the bride and groom (Naomi and Jim) were so fun and most down to earth couple, which made it all the better!
