Jut kidding, this little kittens had a great time playing in my studio and of course posing for the camera. Not only do I photograph dogs, but I also photograph horses, cats, birds, and other furry (or not so furry) critters as well. I believe every family member deserves their moment to shine. ✨

I have a few spots left for my Pretty Powder Sessions in June and July.

These sessions are a creative way to capture your dog using colour, movement, and expression. The powder adds a bold, artistic feel and creates vibrant images that are a little different from traditional portraits.

I love these sessions because every dog brings something completely unique to them!

They’re especially suited for dogs with some basic obedience or sport foundations, since the sessions do involve movement and focus.

I thought it was time you met the team behind Tripdog Photography… and honestly, I might be the least important one.

Hi, I’m Kimberly, the one behind the camera, the editing, and the creative chaos that turns your dog into artwork. But I definitely don’t run this place alone.

Kratos is head of studio security. Nothing gets past him. He keeps a close eye on the house at all times and makes sure I’m fully aware the moment someone even thinks about coming to the door.

Sheva is my office manager. She oversees all correspondence (very thoroughly), enforces a strict nap schedule, and keeps my feet warm during long editing sessions.

Ari handles light management. She tracks sun spots throughout the day so I always know the best time to shoot… or at least when it’s time to move into a different patch of sunlight and nap.

And then there’s Zayah. She’s in charge of work-life balance, which mostly means reminding me to take breaks to play with her… repeatedly… and aggressively if necessary.

This little team might not answer emails or hold a camera, but they’re the heart behind everything I do. They’re the reason I understand just how much these relationships mean… and why capturing them matters as much as it does.

Here's a Sneak Peak at Lily's City Session!

Lily is an 8-year-old Basenji with a personality that is every bit as big as her list of accomplishments. This clever little girl has earned titles including her TDCH and TDCH-M! She knows all kinds of fun tricks like waving or holding objects. But honestly, Lily’s favourite thing might just be being the centre of attention. She absolutely adores people, loves food, and is always ready for an adventure.

When she’s not charming everyone she meets, Lily is all about hunting, chasing, and running down her “prey” with the determination only a Basenji can have.

She was such a superstar during her session, despite being deeply offended by the chilly weather outside. 😂 But even with the cold, her personality shined through in every single image.

Basenjis are such a unique and fascinating breed, and Lily was an absolute joy to photograph 💙

You can tell a lot about a person by the kind of dog they have 👀🐾

The people with Velcro dogs?
Those are the ones who can’t go to the bathroom alone anymore.

The husky owners?
Slightly unhinged. Constantly negotiating with a furry toddler who screams back at them.

The senior dog parents?
Soft hearts. Extra treats. Probably crying over old puppy photos at 11pm.

The working breed people?
Running on caffeine and determination while their dog somehow still has more energy than they do.

And then there are the “this dog changed my life” people.
You can always tell who they are… because the way they look at their dog says everything. 💙

Honestly, one of my favourite parts of this job is getting to meet people who love their dogs so deeply. Every session is completely different because every dog (and every owner) has their own personality, quirks, routines, and little love language.

So now I need to know… what kind of dog parent are YOU? 😂

Meet the Ball Family! This adorable crew came to my studio for specific portraits, to not only be captured by my camera, but to eventually become tattoos!

Izzy, Sparkles, Ella, Iva, and Bagheera made up one of the most unique crews I’ve had in front of my camera. And yes… their family also included a beautiful ball python, who completely stole the show!

Sessions like this are such a good reminder that there’s no “right” kind of pet family. Whether your crew is loud, quiet, chaotic, shy, perfectly posed, or a little bit of everything, that’s the magic. That’s what makes your photos feel like yours.

I didn’t just start Tripdog Photography because I love dogs. I started it because I understand what it feels like to love one like they’re family… like they’re a piece of your heart walking around outside your body.

They are there through everything. The quiet moments, the hard days, the in-between parts of life no one else sees. And somehow, without even realizing it, they become part of who you are.

That’s why this matters to me.
