Aesthetic that AI can’t steal or whatever.

I initially wanted to run to pass level 7 on a shuttle run. The side effect was enjoying the process.

If you’re currently in the “I can’t run for 3 minutes” phase — I need you to see this.

5 months ago that was me. Not exaggerating, not being humble. Actual 3-minute cap, then walk.

July: ran at least twice a week (the one time running outside meant running in poor air quality from the forest fires). Not fast. Not pretty. Just… consistent.

Progress isn’t linear and nobody shows you the middle part. So here’s the middle part.

You’re not behind. You’re just early.

Seeing the wildfires is incredibly worrisome. Some people have lost their homes. Their towns.

I hope you’re all staying safe. Breathing in the air outside is not safe. Stay in when you can.

Are you guys still camping in these conditions? What is everyone doing indoors ?

If you are camping, please check your park guidelines and fire ban rules.

We drove an hour out of our way for a museum with a name like this. Turns out it’s one of the best stops of the whole trip — 6,000 years of history, built right into a cliff. 🦬 Remember when I said one of us was a Buffalo lover? I think all of us are now.

This side quest on the way from Calgary to Waterton National Park was worth it.

We just had just gotten back for the week, barely unpacked our Calgary trip, baby’s been clingy all week hence the unpacking fiasco, meal plans weren’t done for this trip and everyone was probably not mentally ready. We almost didn’t go Friday night (we got in when it was dark) but this we knew:

✅ Beautiful weather forecast at camp beats scrolling on our phones at home
✅ New campground
✅ We won the 7am booking lottery for this five months ago
✅ Teething baby in nature > teething baby at home
✅ This is us
✅ My weekends as a junior flight attendant were so rare, maternity leave is my time to avenge all the weekends I missed out on things

This is your sign to just go on that trip because as my wise SIL said, we only get this weather for 3 months.

Does it count if he was the one driving?

The drive from Calgary to Waterton National Park was so different from the Rockies. Mostly flat with photoshopped mountains in the horizon.

I think my jaw was on the floor the whole time.

How is this real life?

Reason # 1726389 why Alberta’s a little bit spoiled.

Save this for your wildlife lover partner 🌤️
