Delbert the “urban’ish” fox (he’s about 3 months old he’s one of this springs kits).
Just laying in my backyard, 5 feet from my foot……. eating something he pulled out of the grass.
This is one of Dean and Brenda’s kids.
I just try to stay out of his way and not say things like I’m so happy I could spontaneously combust thanks for coming over Delbert.
Nope I don’t say that.
I don’t say anything.
I do believe that’s why he’s decided I’m alright .
He sees me every day and he’s pretty good at ignoring me so I ignore him right back.
Mostly.♥️
(For the record I do not bait or feed them, or let them in my house to sleep in my room with me, or take them to be groomed at PetSmart and I never, never ask him who’s a good boy! NEVER)

Earlier this year I gave the incredibly talented Melissa () permission to use two of my wildlife photographs as references for her paintings. I love seeing how she interpreted my images in her own unique style. I think she did a beautiful job! I fell in love with her artwork the very first time I saw it, and I’m proud to have one of her beautiful prints hanging on my own wall.

Do you know what’s growing wild all over the place in Southern Manitoba?
All kinds of beautiful flowers.
Here’s the part that I dread.
I start taking pictures of them….. wandering around….totally immersed ……. not wanting to miss any.
And then I can’t stop. 
And then I get distracted because there’s bugs and I wanna take pictures of those too.
But then there’s birds.
And I need pics of those too.
Here’s some of what I found. 😍
Once when I was in Mexico, I saw somebody picking up rocks on the beach and I wish I hadn’t seen that because I already do enough rock picking at home, (I don’t like to miss ANY) but then I realized I could be rock picking in Mexico too. And then imagine all the countries I haven’t picked rocks in. 
Moderately overwhelming. 
Apparently I can get professional help for this but I think I’m more fun as I am.
Now you know. 😬

A few moments later, he admitted that was a lie, and that he’d actually just finished his 3rd gopher of the day and was wondering how the hamsters were doing. 🦊🐹🦊

The setting sun tonight from the Thompson Bridge turned the flooding Assiniboine River into a ribbon of gold over our beautiful Wheat City.
Nature is still breathtaking even during difficult times. Thinking of all those affected by this flooding.♥️
