This is a favourite memory from six years ago.

Clear Lake magic.
✨🌲🦌🌊🛶🌅💫🌿🤍🍃🪄✨

This is one of my favourite photos of all time, not only because of the gorgeous fall colors, but because of the memories I have of this moment.
My other half was with me, patiently waiting for me, holding my camera gear while I took shots of this and that.....running all w***y nilly across the clearing, and at one point I was laying in the ditch face down to get a better look at something. There was cars driving by, naturally they were wondering what I was doing.
My other half, Bill, was doing a little commentary that I cannot write here, however I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe, or get up.
I actually couldn’t stand up because he was making me laugh so hard.
I had to wave him off, and send him away from me in the other direction so I could gather the strength to get back up.
I couldn’t even look at him.
Tears rolling down my cheeks, stomach and lungs aching, from laughter.
This picture still makes me laugh.
And it’s pretty too.
I wish all of you a beautiful fall day and a good laugh.♥️

A Prairie Sense of Place is now on display at Section 6 Brewing in Brandon through the end of December. There are lots of pieces displayed both upstairs and downstairs, so stop in, grab a drink, and have a look! 🍻📸

𓂃🌾༄ Evermore ༄🌾𓂃

I found the most magical frame I’ve ever seen in my life a few weeks ago.
It took me a little while to decide which picture I wanted to put in it, but this one stirred my soul the most. It reminded me of stepping into a fairytale.
So I called it Evermore.
I don’t know if I can sell it. 💛
It’s really hard to take a picture of a picture because of the glass reflection, and honestly pics don’t do this one justice. I’m in there so you can see how huge this is!

This old Ford tractor has seen better days, but there’s something beautiful about all that rust, faded paint, and years of hard work.
No safety features on this one, not even a roll bar. Tractors from this era were built before rollover protection became standard, making a simple tip-over potentially deadly.
(Cliff Calvin here…… actually it’s because I looked it up and Martin, the tractor owner told me all about it🤣)
Something I never knew until photographing this old Ford.
I actually rolled my Grandpa’s lawn tractor once at the end of their lane. It was a steep culvert and although I knew not to get too close to the drop off, it was too late. I tried to steer out of it but that only made it worse.
Lucky for me I didn’t die.

My sweet old man Stanley!🥹 He’s having his apple snack where he felt most comfortable tonight, in his cozy home. Stan doesn’t run in his wheel much anymore, he’s a very old man now. ♥️

I’ll help a tiny moth outside if it’s trapped in my house, step over an ant, but mosquitoes……🦟 ⚰️🪦☠️
