Thanks to Northumberland Land Trust for choosing and featuring my photo "Snowcanos" for their 2027 Calendar.
The Northumberland Land Trust is the only local, community-based organization that is dedicated to protecting nature through land conservation across Northumberland County. They care for 2,275 acres of critical wildlife habitat in our 19 nature reserves.

I knew we had fish in our pond, but had no idea there was large Bass in there. This juv GBH caught this huge fish, and wasn't sure how to get it down his throat. He tried for 30 minutes or so, then finally got smart and slid it half way down, in the water first. WTG buddy...now you know

One of things I love about being a photographer is meeting lovely like-minded people and sharing experiences. The other day I met up with a elderly gentleman and we had a great conversation while searching out the area, and he gave me a heads up about a pair of loons with 2 babies just down the road....so I headed there afterwards. I met up with the loon family and spent awhile watching....after some time, Dad come back and started feeding the chicks. Osprey catching a large mudcat, and so much more in this special marsh. Southern Ontario

Watching this Black-crowned Night Heron fishing was intriguing. His strength, determination and perseverance is quite amazing. Although he didn't catch a fish, while filming, it shows how dedicated he is in this fast flowing environment.

I watched from afar, this Butterbutt (Yellow Warbler) collecting nesting materials, so I quietly waited to see where it headed. Hidden in the open.....yet, within a few days it will be completely covered in grown leaves, hiding their new family. ❤
