When I was in kindergarten my dad convinced me to sign up for hockey with the Renfrew Bumblebees. He said there were many girls on the team the year before and likely would have more again. However that year I was the only girl. I was in a change room all by myself & didn’t find it easy to make friends so I quit. Fast forward 35+ years and my youngest tries hockey for her first year as an Angel with 30+ other U7 girls in locker rooms so jammed packed there’s no room to move. I’m so thankful the community we live in has such a strong presence of girls hockey. Thanks for having me U11 Angels to capture a few moments in your jam packed dressing room last week before practice. And the best of luck in your semis 💪🏼 😇 🏒 FEAR THE HALO!
