I took this last week as I was walking on the Waterfront Trail in Hamilton. Most people enjoy the trail the most in the summer and rightfully so - it’s beautiful, but I also really enjoy it in the winter. The waves and ice shelves are beautiful, but if you look up, you also get to enjoy great little scenes in the trees.

It feels like so long ago, but at the same time, it feels like yesterday that we took this shot on a ridiculously hot day. But as the sun beat down upon us, we used that moment to capture something powerful...and this was the result. I don’t know what was going through her head, but it I think it came through in the shot.

The other day was frustrated (i.e. angry...um, love ya babe) so I told her to throw a few punches at my hands. We actually do have boxing gloves and pads and I should have used them. My 5-foot ball of hate nearly broke my hand (Malvern represent!!!). So then I suggested she put on my Tyson hoodie from and do a quick shoot. Timing is everything. 🥊
