Saturday seemed like the perfect day to hit Horsting's Farm Market for a delicious roast beef sandwich and vegetable barley soup and of course a peek into their new greenhouse. Both the lunch and the greenhouse did not disappoint.

I sometimes look back at photo shoots from the past and wonder how we managed to make them happen. This is from a Women in the workplace shoot that Laura Drennan asked me to do where we stopped an active shovel so the Sisters could be documented. This was 2012 somehow I think this might be frowned upon today.

This is a view of the Valley pit at Teck- Highland Valley Operations. This is what you don't see from Hwy97c as you pass by and even from here you don't see the bottom which is the same elevation as Aberdeen Mall in Kamloops or at least it was in 2015 when I took the photo.

I posted a photo I had taken several years back at the Slough wondering about glacial erosion. There was much interest and comments regarding the glacial lake that released 10,000 years ago. I think that is part of the story but probably this layering goes back a bit further...maybe 174 million years or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFk1BFNhJCs&t=827s This link talks about the Cache Creek Orocline. After seeing a bit of the East coast of Canada I was thinking BC isn't very historical but I was considering human history and not geologic history. We live in a very geologically historic place.
