As a photographer, my objective is to always convey a mood in my images, one that invites depth and introspection, images that pull at the heart strings.

I choose darker, deeper tones as a way to ground the viewer and their emotions.

My objective is to create feelings of nostalgia, that are deep, nurturing and comforting.

Coming back to my core passion of photography has me reminiscing of past projects and sessions.

I think back to the amazing people I have worked with in the past and being part of some incredible moments.

It's such a special experience for me as a photographer and artist to capture the essence of human beings. Their emotions, their body language, their untold stories - all in their expansiveness in front of my camera.

What a blessing ✨️

As a creative, I need more of this. I want to capture your expressions.

Your untold stories.

Your essence.

Your gifts.

And I want to watch you share this with the world.

It's why brand photography is my absolute favorite. I get to witness you in your element and you get to see me in mine.

I've watched myself grow in my craft, trying to master it but always remembering to remain a student.

I've tinkered with my camera, with lighting, with post processing. My style has changed over and over again and it likely will again as I learn new things and see with fresh perspectives.

Such is the nature of a creative.

To me, photographing people meant to always grasp the emotions.

Even doing it for myself.

I find self portraiture was always the trickiest because not only do I have to face the wildness that comes through, I've also had to get comfortable with my limitations or lack of vision when I cant quite bring forth my idea. Self portraits test me as a creative on so many levels. I much prefer to take pictures of others 😂

With time, I've gotten more comfortable doing them and looking forward to how else I can bring forth new ideas.

If there is one thing I've come back to over and over again for the last 15 years, it is photography.

I suppose like writers who get "writer's block", I've experienced creative blocks with photography as I become uninspired. I lose sight of perspective and forget to see the beauty in the world, a fog, so to speak, that covers my creative expression.

Perhaps it's that my inspiration ebbs and flows much in the same way life does.

With each transition I go through in life, my vision shifts in how I see the world and how I'd like to capture the moments of life that don't quite have the words to express.

Photography is an art in its ability to capture emotion when words fail to do so. Unspoken stories of the human in front of the lens because not everything can be expressed with words.

Thanks for all who have joined me on my new page as I revive my deepest artistic expression through photography.
