Refresh and Comfort

There is a saying, there is no life without water. Maybe that is why I’m attracted to the sound of the water in the valley. Rushing through the valley as you walk through the forest, it is both comforting and refreshing.
Listening quietly to the sounds of the valley and the water, you begin to notice the hidden life and stories from over the years. As the water flows, you notice the worn-down stones and moss-covered roots crawling across on the ground.
When you carefully lift a rock, you can find small fish hiding away, before they rush back to the safety of cover.

흔히들 물은 생명이라고 한다. 그래서 그런지 나는 계곡의 물소리가 참으로 좋다.
숲길을 걸으며 들려오는 계곡의 물소리는 편안함을 주고 기분을 상쾌하게 해준다. 그런 계곡을 가만히 들여다보면 많은 세월이 숨겨져 있다. 물이 흐르며 깍아 놓은 돌은 모서리가 닳아있고 그 물을 머금은 돌에 이끼는 뿌리를 내리고 있다.
아, 바닥의 돌을 살짝 들어 보면 작은 물고기가 숨어 있을 수도 있겠구나.
