Big Beehive Sunrise Elopement Timeline ☁️✨

Night before — Northern lights dancing across the sky like a little sign from the universe
7:00am — Starting the hike as the mountains slowly woke up around us
Sunrise — Watching the first light hit the lake from the shoreline
Morning — Climbing up to Big Beehive together
Later — Getting ready and sharing vows at the top above the clouds
Afternoon — Hiking back down as newlyweds, taking it all in
3:00pm — Back at the car, tired feet, full hearts, and the best memories 🤍

The night before this Big Beehive elopement, the northern lights showed up like magic. By 7am, we were hiking through the quiet mountain air together, reaching the lakeshore just in time for sunrise. Watching the first light spill across the water before climbing higher into the mountains felt unreal. At the top, they got ready, shared their vows above the clouds, and soaked in every quiet moment together. We stopped at Lake Agnes Tea House on the way down for a well-earned tea break, and by 3pm we were back at the car with tired legs, full hearts, and a day none of us will ever forget 🤍

Some places are popular for a reason.

Bow Lake and Peyto Lake are two of my couples’ absolute favorites in the Rockies — and yes, they can get busy.

But here’s the thing…

With the right timing, the right spots, and a little bit of planning — it can still feel like it’s just the two of you.

That’s where I come in 🤍
From building your timeline to guiding you through these locations, I help you experience it in a way that feels intimate, calm, and fully yours — even in the most iconic places.

And if you’ve been dreaming of those canoe photos at Bow Lake — it’s not really an option anymore…

but don’t worry, I know a few hidden spots where you can still get that same magic ✨

Because it’s not about avoiding people.

It’s about creating moments that feel like no one else is there.

DM me for package details ✨

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Golden light, quiet mountains, and a love that feels like home 🤍

They met the sunrise at the East End of Rundle — just the two of them, dancing on the ridge as the first light spilled over the Rockies. No timeline, no audience… just a moment that felt entirely theirs.

This is what elopements are about.

Not just where you go — but how it feels when you’re there.

Soft wind. Warm light. A slow dance above the world.

✨ If this feels like you, you already know.

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Elope in Banff National Park — they said.

It’ll be simple — they said.

And then suddenly you’re deep in Google, trying to figure out locations, timing, logistics… and wondering if you’re doing it “right.”

Here’s the truth:
There is no right way to elope.
You don’t need a complicated plan.
You need a day that feels like you.
Whether that’s standing by Lake Louise at sunrise, hiking somewhere quiet, or bringing your dog along for the whole adventure — it’s all part of it.

This is exactly what I help my couples do:
turn “we have no idea where to start” into a day that feels effortless, intentional, and unforgettable.

For them, this hike meant more than just reaching a beautiful view.

Relationships aren’t always easy. Like many love stories, theirs came with challenges, growth, and moments where they had to keep choosing each other.

With each step, they carried their journey together every challenge, every choice, every moment that had led them here and reaching the ridge felt like arriving exactly where they were meant to be.

Some elopements are about a beautiful place. Others are about what that place represents.

For them, this mountain was a reminder that the hardest climbs can lead to the most meaningful views.

If you could elope on top of any mountain in the world, which one would it be? ⛰️💛

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Summer is too crazy for me to share consistently on Instagram. I spend my days shooting and editing and end up not sharing 😆

I took some of my favourite photos ever this year and it’s bot because they are not on Instagram that they don’t exist!

I shot this back home in February for the 1 anniversary of my friends (and their first visit to my birth land!). They took their wedding clothes and followed me in my crazy idea to do an anniversary shoot in Normandy 🩵

What a sunset it was! Those colors were so beautiful and different from what I shoot in Canada ☀️

Do you book your photographer by what they share online? Trying to see how i can grow and reach more people 🧡

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Happy Monday 🩵

Long time no see guys! I am so bad at sharing on social media 🙈 But i swear I have been busy taking photos and editing and working on my rebranding!

I wish everything could post themself automatically 😂 When you are a one woman business, it is tough to do it all (and be good at it as well - i know im not good at this social media stuff!).

Anyhow, i am just gonna share some quick clips of my elopements this season, no big captions or anything.

If you want to see more of my work you can head to my website (link in bio) or stalk my stories 🩵

Also don’t hesitate to DM or ask questions in the comments!

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Hawaii Elopement Throwback

I think I can say that spring is not my favourite season in Canada - nor in France - nor anywhere.

I love winter and I love summer, but the in-between tends to be making my mood as moody as the weather. Surprisingly, it might be when I get the most creative. It makes me push my art to do things I like differently. (If you want a moody rain session, hit me up!).

But anyways, I have had this elopement in mind for the past couple of days as I dream of a warmer weather.

I cannot believe that it was almost a year ago that I went to Hawaii to witness and photograph A&N getting married!

We only had a month to get everything ready - including permits and licenses - but we made it! So if you think it is going to be too short in time to have your dream wedding, it is not! Reach out sooner than later, and I will do my best to make it happen for you!

Who wants to elope in Hawaii this year??! My suitcases is ready!

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Happy Valentine’s day!

From my favourite V-Day session ever ♥️ .annalise & .pieter

What was your most cherrished memory of Valentine’s day?

It’s not too late to book a couple session (or engagement session 😉). I will be in France from tomorrow to the end of the month! I do sessions over there as well!

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine
