Two days it took to edit this and it sure paid off! I got to experiment with some techniques I’ve never tried and I’m so heckin stoked how this edit turned out. 😍 This is also my submission for the FFA Editing Competion which is the first editing competition I’ve ever applied for! Finally got around to trying this edit, and I’m so happy with it!! I’ve been feeling inspired to step out of my comfort zone lately and just jump into things, even though my anxiety tells me I shouldn’t or can’t. I’ve also been learning to see myself as good enough and that I don’t need to be seen as amazing through my peers eyes to feel valued. I know who I am, and how hard I’ve been working the past couple years and that is something I need to recognize more, while also giving myself more grace when making mistakes and learning 💕

I have been scared of animation for most of my life, and I would always go through the regular anxiety thoughts whenever I thought of trying it. I was so filled with doubt that I just never even got close to just attempting it. But something has been calling me to finally dive into the deep end and just freaking do it, and IM SO HAPPY I DID GAAH. .o.george had such an amazing and easy to understand class on Skillshare and I was finally able to understand how the heck to do some of this animation stuff I’ve been wanting to do forever. I highly recommend this class, and I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone for once! Do that thing that you’ve always wanted to do, even though it’s super scary sometimes, once you make it to the end and realized you just did the thing that has been torturing you, man, there’s no feeling like it.

This is my first independent composite photo edit and IM SO DANG EXCITED ABOUT IT. I hope you all enjoy 🥰 and I hope the quote sits with some people, since quarantine has forced a lot of us to adapt and transform into different people, it doesn’t make you less than. You are emerging more beautiful and magnificent than ever before. 💕 just stay strong, keep your eyes forward and keep going. One step at a time, the butterfly will land on you eventually.

I re-edited this portrait last night, and I’m so shocked at how much progress I’ve made with learning how to retouch. I never in my life thought I would be good at it or even be able to learn the techniques the people I look up to use, but here I am using dodge & burn and frequency separation to do what I love the most 🙈 growth is really cool people, never stop learning!
