Summer appears to be in full swing already which is very exciting but I can’t help but relive this snow/rainy/beautiful day. K+J opted for an intimate elopement style ceremony with their family and then a bigger wedding at the Bluebird in Banff which happens to be one of my favourite cocktail bars in Banff.

Planning a wedding in Banff in March can be tricky, having no idea if it will be +15 or -25 but these two embraced every moment.

Elopements are one of my favourite events to shoot. There is just something so magical about heading to a beautiful place (I think Banff is one of the greatest spots) and having the freedom to explore and capture memories without any hullabaloo .. speaking of which, I’m pretty impressed with myself for working the word hullabaloo into a caption.

My advice for anyone that has thought of eloping will be always absolutely yes, in every way just do it. In my humble opinion - making the day about only you both in an incredible part of the world is peak wedding experience. I’ve been visiting my family in Australia for the past few weeks, and while it’s been absolutely lovely and I’ll always miss the ocean, I can’t wait to get to the mountains and capture all the amazing love stories this season.
