Visual Storyteller

Artist from heart and dedication. This is my story... I can recall telling myself as a child that I wanted to be a Professional Painter and go to study at the University of Arts in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. As a toddler I grew up in Veracruz City which is located at the very shore of the Gulf of Mexico. I was about four years old and I loved to paint with acrylic paints and brushes. One day, of many I am sure, my mother asked me “ Clau, why did you paint these palm trees like this (no very symmetrical, and with the palm’s leave almost in every direction)? ... My mom said that my answer was “Because it is windy, mommy”. At that very single moment, my mom realized that I had a great talent and love for Art. My mom kept and treasure that painting, which I would love to share with you dear reader one day. My mother still shares that beautiful memory with me and my family. The Palm trees painting was the begging of the visual storyteller that I became and I am today. During my childhood and teen years, I joined the different programs in the School of Visual of Arts of Veracruz. Then, I started my University in Visual Arts with the specialization in Visual Communication, Graphic Arts, Printing, Digital Design, and Photograph in my hometown Veracruz. I have been also blessed by graduating from a Calgarian College of Graphic Design after a long break because I was dedicated to my daughter. The amazing love of my parents, family and my daughter inspires me every single day to pursue my journey as a visual storyteller for my clients and my loved ones. Claudia
