The truth is that I didn’t get into photography until my second daughter was born, and I regret not having more documentation of my first daughter while she grew and changed while she was very little. Yes, I do have a ton of instagram shots of her but the reality is that they just don’t print the same. I wish I had more pictures of her squishy thighs and velvety skin before they grew so much (obviously I am still feeling baby crazy after yesterday’s good news)!

New Mother and Babe. I’ve been hesitant about sharing some of my images as they don’t always “fit” the colour aesthetic I’ve used. The reality is that so much of photography is based on the lighting you are in and around when your portrait is being taken. During our session consultations we will work to choose the place and time of day that best suits the aesthetic you desire in your portraits. Some clients prefer lighter or moodier images and there are no right or wrong choices, it’s whatever suits you best. The most important thing to me is that you are comfortable and that we capture portraits evoking the sentiment your family has for each other.

The prettiest details 🌿 Did you know I used to work in social services in the past? Today I had a previous client reach out to ask about photographing a golf charity event and sadly I will be away on the date. Please reach out if you have a fundraising event that is dear to your heart! While I am only able to take a select number of charity events I do want to donate my time when possible for important causes.

There are so many little details to a wedding that makes it personal and unique to you as a couple. From incorporating family heirlooms, to writing your own vows, to how and where you even choose to get married... I remember my wedding day as being fun and goofy, with a lot of tears and sentimental feelings thrown in. Wedding season is happily upon us and I could not be more excited to be working with the couples I am working with this summer. Oh the imagination of children! 🌿 Portraits are just as lovely when you capture a child just as they are, rather than posing them to smile in front of the camera. I love how children get lost in their own dreams and forget that I am even around. They are only little for a short time so creating a story of their childhood is that much more special.
