If you're wondering what stage of middle-life I've recently reached, this is it-taking photos of dogs in christmas outfits. How much joy was had during this session? 10/10 if you ask me and Natalie, 2/10 for these poor dogs that had to wait a looooong time before getting their special treats.
In case you're interested, the little guy in the adorable Santa hat is mr. Percy. He came from a bit of a crazy situation but that doesn't stop him from wanting to find someone to love fur-ever. He loves to watch you sleep and hold your hand while you yell at the news. He doesn't mind going for a walk but he's just as happy to hang inside as long as you keep feeding him random pieces of cheese.

Most of us are stressing over the looming teacher’s strike starting this Monday, but let me kindly redirect your panic, because it's also time to stress about Christmas photos!!! 🎄✨

Yes, that magical season is back—the one where you bribe your kids with candy canes, threaten to “accidentally” reset their iPads, and beg them to smile while I juggle balloons, puppets, and put on my most embarrassing one-man comedy show (Picture Jim Carrey meets a caffeinated elf)

So buckle up! It’s officially the season of stress-shopping for gifts no one asked for, squeezing into Christmas concert outfits your kids will hate, soccer games, hockey practice, dance recitals, and doing it all while pretending you know how to homeschool—without even remembering what long division is.

Marc & Ayla’s Anderson Ranch Wedding: A few years Years, a few kids dids, lots of friends and family... a plethora of glow sneakers!

After a decade of love, laughter, video games and several love-island episodes, Marc and Ayla finally decided—yep, let’s make this official. And what better place to tie the knot than the breathtaking Anderson Ranch, nestled just south of Calgary? If you’re scouting for Calgary wedding photography locations with mountain views and golden tones that scream “romantic prairie chic,” this ranch is a dream.

The scenery? Majestic mountains in the distance, golden fields that looked like they were filtered by Instagram itself, and the kind of light that makes wedding photos near Silverado look like they belong in a magazine.

Ayla and Marc's three kids showed up dressed to impress—seriously, they looked like they were auditioning for an ad for Aritzia. Ayla’s mom? So stylish I had to do a double take. I thought she was Ayla’s sister. Marc’s parents were equally dashing, and chatting with them about their Irish and Polish roots was a treat (especially since I’m Polish too—bonus bonding!).

During the ceremony Ayla's aunt gifted them with a beautiful hand-sewn blanket which she wrapped around the newlyweds. It was an honour listening to indigenous traditions held sacred on this land. Around this moment a hawk flew overtop of us for just a split second as if to say, hello, I'm here to guide and bless you along your way.

Now, let’s talk about Ayla’s brother Cody. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he’s also met celebrities like Justin Trudeau. So if you’re looking for family photos with a side of star power, Cody’s your guy.

The vibe of the day? Intimate, joyful, and full of familiar faces. Everyone knew each other so well that the dance floor was packed before dessert even hit the table. Why is everyone laughing in all of the photos? The bridesmaids were twirking behind me and doing just about anything possible to get some good smiles. Ayla’s bridesmaids also gifted her glow-in-the-dark sneakers—yes, really—which lit up the dance floor and the mood. It was the perfect quirky touch to end the night.

Before the party got too wild, we snuck away for a few quiet moments to capture some stunning portraits at sunset. Just the two of them, the ranch, and a whole lot of love.

Marc and Ayla’s wedding was everything a celebration should be: heartfelt, hilarious, and full of people who genuinely adore each other. Away from the hustle and bustle, it was just them, their crew, and one unforgettable party!!!!

Congratulations Marc & Ayla! May your glow sneakers always light the way.

It was a beautiful day capturing the start of fall photos 2025! These shoots took place at a gorgeous park in Calgary. I absolutely love shooting here and watching kiddos run around this magical garden.

had the pleasure of photographing Callum and Lindsay's most incredible day, this Saturday!!!! It was a beautiful day full of sunshine and laughs! Lindsay had a record for the amount of bridesmaids-a baker's dozen. That's right, 13 beautiful bridesmaids sharing hilarious stories and warm wishes for Lindsay as she headed down the aisle. Both Lindsay and Callum looked so elegant and dashing in 50s inspired looks-a cage for Lindsay's hair alongsize a mimnimalist gown with the most delicate lace details and a lovely 3 piece suit for Callum.
The ceremony and reception took place at the historic SAIT building. I absolutely always love the option of shooting weddings here as not only is it such a unique venue, but it offers both indoor and outdoor portraits that appear to be set outdoors. Everyone was having a lovely time in the intimate vintage setting of Macdonald Hall.
The food was delicious and all elequently prepared by hotel arts, which was so efficiently organized by Megan from Megan Sawchuk Weddings
